Since I don't think we'll see a full blown Superman TV show again, for a long time, he doesn't need to carry the CW-verse. He just needs to show up every now and then.

 

I'd very much like to see him team up with Flash eventually.

Doomsday was absolute dog sh*t in Smallville, holy sh*t. He looked like a mix between the monster from Jeepers Creepers and Freddy Kreuger, with the body of a crocodile. Plus the backstory to it was terrible. Darkseid on the other hand was seriously well done for a TV show in the final season.

 

And to be fair, Welling was the best actor for the TV show. Couldn't imagine anyone else playing the role. And I can even understand some people genuinely upset about him not being cast as Superman in this, because this is a different show and he can evolve into the man of steel straight away, plus he's older now. But at the same time, the butthurt is ridiculous because this actor looks almost perfect in terms of the appearance.

Doomsday's human form(yeah he had one) also had a love story with Chloe.

 

Also, no hate on Welling, I enjoyed Smallville, it was part of my childhood. IIRC, Welling never wanted to wear the suit.

So Grant Gustin is saying this isn't going to be a direct adaptation of Flashpoint, but rather "its own thing".

 

 

I'm actually happy about this. I love Flashpoint, but I'd rather they do something new.

It couldn't be a direct adaptation. They'd have to have Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, and just about every DC character.

 

And it would have to be epic in scale, encompassing the entire world.

Oh, I know. I never expected them to include characters like Batman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, etc., instead having similar in-Arrowverse characters filling in those roles. I'll be pleased even if this adaptation lasts just a few episodes and not the whole season, after all, I was saying I'd like to see multiple story arcs throughout the seasons of these shows instead of lame "villain-of-the-week" filler.

Constantine the short lived NBC series is on "CW seed" which is spurring rumors that they are going to continue the show on CW, or at least put Matt Ryan back in the role on Legends of Tomorrow.

 

If they bring the show back, does it go in that dreaded Friday night spot again? Or do they double it up on another night with another DC show like Supergirl?

Okay, it seems there may be hope for Arrow yet. Everything I've heard about the upcoming season has sounded promising and now we have Stephen Amell confirming that Flashpoint will indeed have "major" repercussions for Arrow. I think a soft-reboot is just what the doctor ordered.

I'm certainly glad to see that they're taking the Flashpoint story in the CW-Verse seriously.

 

In other news, Tom Felton, known for playing Draco Malfoy in the Harry Potter films, was cast as a series regular for season 3 of The Flash.

I'd prefer if they kept him off Legends. I just don't like that show.

I don't know who to believe to be honest with you. All I know is that the show is still in the hands of Guggenheim and Mericle, the people who ruined it the first place.

The hugbox is real with the production of Arrow.

 

It's a little sad. Because as far as I remember, people were a little off on season 1. I heard a lot of sh*t about how he was killing everyone and that flashbacks were more interesting than the current day stuff.

Then season 2 came around and fixed all that and was pretty good.

 

Same thing happened with Agents of Shield. People saw it and went 'The f*ck is this?' and complained about the Case-Of-The-Week episodes, and now that show has commitment issues.

Every episode, the plot would completely change and the whole show would be thrown off its feet. Which can be good or bad... But irrelevant.

 

Anyway, I'm glad the Flash is doing well.

Does anyone remember the Vixen show? What happened to that? The whole season was like 15 minutes long and went nowhere. But it was still kinda cool. More competent DC animation is never bad.

I'm pretty hyped for the new season of The Flash. Don't care much for Arrow or LoT at this point but will keep up with them just for the sake of continuity in crossover episodes.

It's almost tragic what's happened with Arrow, it used to be so good. The number one problem with it for me these past two seasons is that it's been rather boring; something I consider to be the cardinal sin of any piece of entertainment, be it a show, movie, book, or game. All of the ups and downs of Oliver and Felicity's relationship haven't helped things either. I'll still watch this next season just to see how he spent his last year away from Star City, but I won't have much reason to stick around for a potential sixth season unless they REALLY bring their A-game this season.

 

At least with Flash and Legends it feels like the shows are tailored to the comic book audience. That, and they know how to have fun.

 

Anyway, here's the season five trailer. Already, I'm discouraged by the fact that he's building another team. He used to be so badass going out and basically acting as a one many army against pretty much everyone who challenged him.

As bad as they were recently I'll still want to watch it for the flashbacks the ones in seasons 3 and 4 were pretty bad. I really do want to see him complete his journey if this is really the final season that has flashbacks in it.

Looking back, I was pretty hard on season 3, but re-watching some of its episodes recently has changed my tune just a little. I don't know if it's because season 4 was complete and total sh*t, or if there was still some of the magic present, but season 3 was okay. I really liked the duel on the mountaintop against Rhas, and I really liked having Ray as a series regular for the season.

 

Don't get me wrong, there were plenty of issues with it too; the beginning of the hellish Olicity drama, the flashbacks were kinda meh, and the last few episodes were just awful (except for the episode with the battle on the beach).

I liked the first half of season 3 after the fight with Ra's on the mountain which was probably my favorite thing about that season the show just went downhill from there. I also enjoyed when he returned to Star City in the flashbacks with Maseo
