Oh snap, I wasn't expecting them to actually go through with giving Wally and Jessie their powers, at least not this season. Sure, it's not confirmed that they will be speedsters, but they both suffered direct hits from the dark matter speed force wave. And it looks like Barry will indeed be trapped inside the speedforce next week.

Just saw the most recent episode of Flash and..... WTF!?!

Well, that just f*cking happened!

Did not expect that. I was expecting him to like... Emerge and f*ck Zoom up or something.

I gave in, and for the first time in... Forever... I watched the promo for the next episode.

Turns out, he's not dead.

I don't know why I was expecting that to be more consequential. But it's fine.

Zoom's dialogue at the end was incredibly cheesy and on the nose, but the entire episode was decent.

 

Funny, in the scene inside Jitters.

Zoom most likely traveled to our world, read the credits for the episode, remembered all the officers who were credited as 'Extra' and killed all the non-important characters.

My prediction for how Zoom will be defeated:

 

 

 

Jesse and Wally, now rookie speedsters, will attempt to overcome zoom, but fail miserably.

Wells could attempt to sacrifice himself at this point. Just as Zoom is about to kill Wally/Jesse/Someone important, Barry comes out of the Speed Force as a bolt of lightening, ala Rebirth, and destroys Zoom.

 

Probably not gonna happen, but I think it'd be cool.

That was a good one, I wouldn't call it best, though. The season finale last year will be hard to beat.

 

I think this show needed this type of episode. An episode that allows Barry to examine and reinforce his identity as the Flash. It also set up finale in a crazy way that has gotten me really excited for next week.

 

Also, not sure if it's Kevin Smith or the script itself, but Cisco had great comedic moments and performances with Iris and later with Wells. Little non-jokes. Like when Cisco is catching Barry up on everything that's happened, Wells kind of doing this goofy reaction. I'm happy we got to see some Tom Cavanagh comedy in this show for once. It was actually reminiscent of Silent Bob. Must've been something Tom did as a nod to Kevin.

It looks like the Earth-2 metahuman invasion is going to be similar to the mirakuru soldier invasion on Arrow in season 2, which is a good thing IMO. It makes the stakes feel higher, and Central City hasn't really ever had a massive attack like this yet (the singularity doesn't count).

So Zoom can also create wormholes. That confirms he isn't a speedster at all, but can manipulate time. Also, I wonder who Barry was talking to, because he said the speedforce was with "us". Either Wally or Jessie or both.

And this is where it's interesting because the slow motion happened while it was falling. I genuinely think Wally experienced that, but was confused as hell AND it was for the comedic timing too. I bet you they're trying to throw people off by making them doubt he has any powers at all. Barry isn't taking all those meta's by himself, Wally and Jessie are going to quickly train just enough to deal with them. Plus as I said before, Jessie, along with Wells are going to go back to their world after dealing with Zoom and she's going to become a hero there.

I feel like tonight's Arrow was a step in the right direction. The fight scenes were good, and I actually liked the scenes with Felicity and her father, except for that ludicrous line about "cloning" the processor. Hopefully the last two episodes of the season will be just as entertaining.

 

As for Flash, I hope they update his costume soon, it still feels too crude and was designed to be a firefighting suit in the first place. I'd rather have that brighter shade of red that Future Barry's costume had. I'm also wondering why Barry doesn't have the yellow lightning trails that his future counterpart does.

The two extras coming out of the Big Belly Burger... I cringed so f*cking hard. Keep in mind, I just lost a toe nail and their acting made me cringe ever harder!

I'm serious. I have never seen worse acting in my entire life. And I've watched movies made by the Asylum and movies starring sports players.

I wanna f*cking key their cars!

Those 2 are on my sh*t list, I'm never gonna let that slide!

I don't think that was at all necessary but I don't know why I found it awesome.

 

 

 

 

But all that stuff aside. The episode was fan-f*cking-tastic!

By god, I loved almost every single scene!

God, why did we spend half the season not having episodes like this?

Is it too much to ask for every episode to be amazing? Breaking Bad did it.

Also, did anyone notice that Iris was completely out of character for the entire episode? I don't know what was up with her.

And I'm surprised at how emotionally unaffected they were at Barry's death. You'd think either Joe or Barry's dad would at least cry or... Look sad about it. But nope, they're all completely fine with Barry dying.

Henry was crying over his so called "death", did you miss that scene where Joe asked him to go check out Jessie who's heart had stopped and then restarted? He had to shout a second time to get his attention. And Iris bawled her eyes out right at the end of last episode, but yeah I agree she suddenly forgot what happened in this episode. But I think overall, deep down they knew he wasn't dead, because as Wells said he knew he could contain the particle accelerator this time, and he did, to a degree of course. Then Cisco vibes the suit and immediately tells them he's alive, so of course emotionally they would recover quickly since he wasn't dead but went into the speedforce.
