They just put out this extended trailer for next week's episode. I'm really hoping the homage to Flashpoint is faithful (meaning the first attempt at him regaining his powers is a fantastic failure) to the original story.

I don't think it's going to be a failure. The one in the flashpoint paradox comic is exactly how The Flash got his powers in the first place, by a natural lightning strike with chemicals around him. In the show, the particle accelerator caused him to get the powers which changed his molecular structure. Remember that he still technically has the meta human gene in him, he needs a massive jump start to regain his powers and a new particle accelerator explosion will just do that. My main concern is why the f*ck they gave Zoom the speed in the first place, he could have beat him and kept him in a chamber. There has to be a plan that Zoom is getting the bad end of the stick with.

I may be a week late to comment on the LoT episode but...

Incompetent.

That's the perfect word to describe it.

Every time they bring on a new character, they're bland and boring (The Pilgrim lady hammered that point home).

Every time they try to do character development... Not only is it on the nose, it's so far up the nose, it's poking the bad ideas out of the brain.

Every time they bring a new gimmick to the whole time travel stuff, it becomes less interesting and makes less sense.

 

The double Rory thing was fine.

 

I just hope the last couple of episodes are just a f*cking redeemer, cause I have no idea what they're even doing anymore.

i'm glad they covered the breach issue.. snow is so dumb though and clearly should've rescued mask guy first. also, zoom should have a special nice clean lair where he keeps his kidnapped girlfriends, rather than the same dank place he keeps his enemies, first thing you learn in villain school people, along with no monologuing.

I think the people behind Arrow themselves don't give a f*ck anymore. They're probably just milking it now for what it's worth.

 

In the scene where Arrow stops the fake Canary from killing the mayor and makes his escape via the roof, one of the policeman continues pointing his gun at the empty space while the others at least make an effort to keep it pointed at the escaping Arrow. And then they just move away with no care. Great directorial skills there. At that point, I couldn't believe I was still watching this sh*t.

 

At least, The Flash and Supergirl are still good.

What are your guys thoughts on either Wally or Jessie (possibly both) getting super speed like Barry? Personally, if it weren't for how horribly Arrow has handled a "team" of heroes, I'd be all for it, but I don't think having multiple speedsters would work so well.

I wouldn't mind a second speedster if they only teamed up every once in a while, but not every fight because that would be overkill and lose its spark quickly imo. And I don't want it to turn into Arrow where he rolls into every fight with a posse.

The only way they're getting powers is if there was another particle accelerator the same size as the original Eobard designed. Because in the next episode it's going to be isolated for Barry, I don't think they will get their powers yet. However, we've been getting hints about Wally getting super speed from the day we saw him, because he's really into cars and speed in general, and was even involved in illegal street racing. Now there is two possibilities, either Wally is actually hiding something, a.k.a, he was affected by the particle accelerator from last season and didn't tell anyone, so he might need a jump start, or the one Barry is planning to do is going to go wrong and affect Wally as well. But the only way he would get affected is if he was at star labs himself at the right time. Same thing could happen to Jessie, and I could see her and Harrison going back to their world and Jessie becomes a hero there. That way, Wally and Barry are the only two speedsters on this earth and they both take down Zoom, maybe Jessie included depending on the circumstances.

Yeah, he was fantastic. Such a stark contrast between him and the evil that Thawne really was behind that face. You know what the funny thing is? Even this Wells seems to get along very well with Cisco, and that's my favourite character relationship within the team. And when Cisco told Wells to say what Eobard said to him before he died, it seemed like he really meant what he said, that Cisco was like a son to him. Pretty heartwarming. If both him and Jessie don't want to go back to Earth 2, that's fine by me anyway, plus they can actually go back whenever they want knowing Cisco can open wormholes.

I think I found it. Spoilers, of course.

 

 

 

 

With the appearance of Nora Allen in the trailer, it would seem that either Barry is going to go back in time again (unlikely given how stressful and dangerous it was last time) or is going to be doing some deep dreaming. It's also possible that Barry gets stuck in the very essence of the speed force, as the synopsis for episode 21 talks about Barry being "gone".

 

I feel like the appearance of Deathstroke is going to disappoint as well. There's no way that Manu Bennet found the time to come back with his other show currently going on. At best we'll get his voice dubbing over someone in the suit.

I've recently been rewatching Batman The Animated Series.

And there's something I gotta say.

The League of Assassins (In this appearance, they're called The Society of Shadows).

They are way more competent and kick way more ass than the ones in the CWverse and the Nolanverse combined.

Here's a list of what a splinter of them do in one, 20-minute long episode.

Keep in mind, Batman TAS is made for kids and can't do adult tones. CW shows and Nolan were allowed to.

1. They throw a guy to his death in front of Batman because he's too busy fighting them.

2. When Batman beats them, they f*cking kill themselves.

3. They repeatedly beat Batman in hand-to-hand combat, and even disarm him of his belt.

 

Now, back the Legends of Tomorrow, where I'm pretty sure there was a scene where Jackson, a millennial with no real combat training whatsoever (He wasn't Firestorm), takes out a member of the League in a single strike.

Yes, he accidentally travelled to Supergirl's universe by running too fast, and when he went to Supergirls universe, in Barry's world it was only a few seconds so absolutely no one would know he was ever gone. Episode 21 might be linked to the future barry we saw on Gideon's hologram article from 2024, where he dissapears during a crisis.
