Fun little Legends episode, Rory talking to his younger self, Captain Lance with hair, and it got me thinking, if Sara never got on that damn boat then how what everything end up like

 

Sara would have never become an assassin, The Lance family would still be together and season 3 of Arrow and part of season 2 would be different, but how I'll let everyone else figure that out

how did zoom travel back to earth 2 with wally to lock him up without cisco opening another portal? and then back to earth 1 again to trade him for barry's speed? also, i agree barry should've ended zoom when wally was safe, they've been f*cked over so much by him that a double cross felt justified.

 

do you guys think wally has the speed force? they seem to keep hinting at it

I think once Cisco opened the breach the portal stayed open but remained invisible, like the other breaches were before Barry sealed them up. I don't think Wally has the speed force in him, at least not yet.

plausible, but then why didn't bazza head straight there and rescue wally after he found his house trashed? he knows where zoom's lair is.

 

i think he does have it, just latent.. they've made so many hints, the meta human tracker watch thingy going off, all the references to him having a need for speed, watching f1 etc

He didn't go to the portal because Zoom was already back at his lair with Wally. Even if he did go there, Zoom probably would have killed Wally before Barry could even rescue him.

 

I forgot about the metahuman watch going off around Wally, so you could be right about him being a speedster. I highly doubt he knows about the speedforce in his body, otherwise he could have saved himself when Tar Pit attacked him at the street race.

fair bit of speculation there.. here's mine- i can't agree with these reasons because barry had just shown that he could now beat zoom and if the portal was still open i feel that after he discovered wally was missing he could've zipped straight to the lair and quickly bitch slapped zoom before he knew wtf was going on. perhaps barry and co are unaware of the portal being open still, if it is explained like that, but they didn't seem worried about it for some reason if they do know.

 

in the supergirl crossover i think baz crossed worlds by running, but i don't think zoom can do that, seeing as he had to wait for cisco to open a portal first.. but maybe he stole a tachyon device while at star labs or something..

Totally. I just shook it off as something that they might probably explain later. I'm still hoping they do because it's definitely an event worth mentioning.

 

However, I'm not sure if that was his trip to National City because he kinda looked confused when he asked how long he had been gone.

Definitely disappointed. Because Barry didn't know that he could go so fast that he would end up crossing the time stream into another universe, and he did and the events of the supergirl crossover took place when we saw him go into that hole. At THIS point, he should have stopped and smiled or something to give the fans a hint of what just happened, and once he went to star labs, he should have told them what happened. Would have been epic. But I'm guessing they're saving this for later after they defeat Zoom.

if that was the event, i agree it was a bit disappointing that he didn't acknowledge it when he got back to star labs. also, it means he traveled to another world and also through time, as he was there for a while and seemingly not much time passed on earth1.

 

the signs do seem to point to that being the case though because in the crossover he was wearing the bulky tachy device and during the flash episode just aired they redesigned it to be smaller.

 

the main thing that irks me about it is that it should've been more of a big deal to barry that he could cross worlds without a portal, then they spend a heap of time trying to figure out how to get cisco to make a portal. i understand that maybe he thought he couldn't direct exactly where he would end up, but it was still worth a mention to the rest of the team imo and he seemed pretty confident that when supergirl threw him that he'd end up back on his earth..

 

as others have said, maybe they're saving it for later

I went back and re-watched the latest Flash episode to see if I could pinpoint exactly why Barry felt compelled to give up his speed to Zoom. I think what the deal was, and what the writers/producers did a horrible job showing, was that Zoom was still faster than Barry even with the tachyon device. After he escapes from that trap Barry set up he disappears without a trace, something he wouldn't have been able to do if Barry did indeed have the advantage over him. So I think he gave his speed up to protect everyone because he knew he still didn't have the power to protect them from Zoom.

What they need to do ASAP is address what the real power of Zoom is and why he is the fastest "speedster" of all Universes. The reason is because he isn't a speedster at all, in fact his power is that he can manipulate time at his will which is why he is faster than other speedsters due to controlling time itself, and since Barry can't control time, as well as every other speedster, he can't catch Zoom. And since he has blue lightining, it means he has been taking the velocity drugs somehow to keep him occupied. Secondly, they need to explain that the reason why he's taking Barry's speed is because he wants to have BOTH the speed force and time maniuplation, which would render him unstoppable unless they can somehow take the speedforce back from him and also take away his own powers.

I may be a little late to the party, since I just now watched the Flash episode but...

Would it really be frowned upon if the Flash just ripped Zoom's heart out right then and there?

The show made a pretty big deal out of how he was faster than Zoom now. Even if Zoom almost caught up during the chase, Barry was still faster.

Would it have been bad for him to just rip Jay's heart out?

 

As to the man in the mask.

I feel like they're hyping it up too much.

At this point, the only reveal that would live up to the hype, would be if he was;

Wally West, the Flash.

Oliver Queen, the Green Arrow without annoying side characters.

Motherf*cking Batman.

Or Academy Award Winner Leonardo Di-motherf*cking-Caprio from The Man In The Iron Mask.

I think it might be Eddie. He's one of the only unresolved loose ends the show hasn't addressed yet. Last we saw, his body was sucked into the singularity, and I don't think they'd show that for no reason at all. Someone on Earth 2 might have found his body and had a way to revive him, but then Zoom kidnapped him and kept him prisoner so he could learn about Earth-1 Flash.

Do we really need more character revivals?

I mean... Even Jean Grey always has the decency to stay dead for at least one year before coming back to life. You'd think Eddie would be better than that.

 

 

I realize that I sound like an asshole... And that a character revived, is a steady paycheck/income for an actor. But...

Imagine, in every good story you've ever read... All the dead characters come back to life at the end.

Actually, there is an explanation. Although most likely it isn't Eddie, there is a good reason just in case he comes back. Remember Eobard somehow returned again right? When Cisco vibed about him, we knew that this was the Eobard 15 years ago, but the day the actual Eobard was erased from existence was due to Eddie killing himself which would completely erase Eobard from the timeline. So why didn't this version get erased aswell? It means that Eddie has been revived by Zoom, just like the way Jay saved earth-2 Wells using the velocity 6 when Patty shot him by mistake. He must have got the bullet out and restarted his heart. But didn't he shoot himself in the heart? So that's the only problem with this theory.

It seems pointless to take away his speed and restore it the very next episode. I wouldn't be surprised if he doesn't get it back tomorrow and the producers just say "f*ck the continuity on Arrow".
