CorruptedVision 89
I saw the first season. It was entertaining to watch. Though by the end of the season I started growing tired of the overdone drama they had between the characters. Especially anything involving Laurel, her dad, or Danny. It was practically a soap in those scenes. I'll check out season 2 when it comes out on netflix. Now that Janina Gavankar is on this show, I am willing to overlook the lack of awesome comic book action, if they have more Janina. I can't believe Oliver is still pouting over his precious Laurel when he has her interested. Why not pursue that more instead of letting her questions bother you. He needs someone to confide in about the Island. Quit being a bitch, Oliver.
darthYENIK 8,858
Janina isn't in the show anymore, but if you're talking about Felicity, then I almost agree with you. But Laurel and Oliver have history. It's hard to ignore that. At the same time, Felicity is a smoking hot computer nerd.
Girish 3,798
Is it me or does Cassidy look more and more anorexic this season? She looked a lot fuller in the first season. I'm just put off by her now. Glad that her sister's back in town.
Raavi 23,705
Is it me or does Cassidy look more and more anorexic this season? She looked a lot fuller in the first season. I'm just put off by her now. Glad that her sister's back in town. Glad I'm not only one who noticed that, would make more sense if she gained weight considering she is an alcoholic now
darthYENIK 8,858
Yeah, just in her face she looks like she's just skin and bones.
Moonshield 9,926
Man, I really hope they kill Laurel off. She's such a sh*t character.
darthYENIK 8,858
I agree, but I think it got more interesting last night. It felt a little forced with those flashbacks, but they finally gave Laurel a reason to be an addict. It's not that she lost her sister and boyfriend. It's that her life collapsed afterward. It's selfish, but it's believable.
Dboi 420 256
I started watching this about a week ago and I just finished season 1 last night. I'm really digging the flashbacks to the island, Manu Bennet is badass as Slade Wilson/Deathstroke. Though the drama of Laurel and Tommy is a bit much, it's understandable because the creators want the show to be equal in the male/female demographic. Luckily the action is good enough to keep me watching. I'll probably catch up with season 2 in time for next week's episode, but then i'll have to wait week to week like you people. Jokes. BuyMeTheMoon 529
Though the drama of Laurel and Tommy is a bit much Yep! And Laurel is a pain in the ass for a while in season two as well
darthYENIK 8,858
Nerd alert: MacGregor's Syndrome, which Clock King has in this week's episode, was the fictional disease that Nora Fries had in the movie Batman and Robin. Nora Fries is the wife of Victor Fries (AKA Mr. Freeze). Not sure if she ever had it in any other medium, like the comics. Edited February 27, 2014 by darthYENIK
Girish 3,798
This probably deserves a new topic but... ...that's pretty cool. Can't wait for it to start!
darthYENIK 8,858
If you hold true to the comics, you can't mess up the Flash costume. I like it, at least from the neck up.
darthYENIK 8,858
Double post. For a good reason... Actress hints at being cast as Harley Quinn in Arrow... http://www.superheromoviesnews.com/2014/03/actress-cassidy-alexa-hints-at-being.html?m=1 As the article says, in the preview for next week's episode they show a woman with messy blonde pigtails facing away from camera, wearing a orange jumpsuit with A.R.G.U.S. printed on the back. ARGUS of course is the organization that employs the Suicide Squad, who are featured in the episode preview. Fans of the comics know that Harley Quinn was part of the Suicide Squad for a couple years, so it's possible. I don't know how they'd keep it a secret, but it's possible. Edit: My bad. There won't be an episode next week. The preview is for the episode in two weeks. Edited March 8, 2014 by darthYENIK
darthYENIK 8,858
And here's all of the cameo (the voice of Tara Strong as Harley Quinn, or deranged inmate)... Edit: pretty underwhelming. Edited March 20, 2014 by darthYENIK
IDredMan 1,479
Alright, I finally started watching this show. Mostly due to the fact I got pretty f*cking sick of Agents Of Shield having 8 secrets around every corner. In the last scene of the first episode of the first season, I heard her say that ..And just had my head in my hands for 20 minutes whispering "Seekrets ...Seekrets ...Seekrets."
darthYENIK 8,858
Dude, there's tons of secret sh*t in the first season. But rest assured, that stuff mostly goes away in the second.
IDredMan 1,479
Just watched the second episode. Thank god they did the fight scenes better... The fight in the first episode was so wobbly and shakey and flashy, looked like seizure central. All I could think was "This is f*cken DareDevil all over again!" But in this episode you can actually see the fights, so hooray. And am I the only one who gets the illusion that these episodes go on for ~40 hours, instead of 40 minutes? There's so much going on. IDredMan 1,479
He was a cast away on an uncharted island for multiple years.. And there was a character named Wilson on that island.
darthYENIK 8,858
I never noticed that. Funny. But try not to double post so soon. It's cool if the second post is a few days later, but a few hours is a no-no.
IDredMan 1,479
Alright, I'v gotta say ... Firefly sucked. Like a lot. And the modern-day stories are getting extremely boring. The flashbacks are much better. EDIT: 23 hours is a day ..Right? I'm gonna go ahead and assume that 23 hours would be another warning, and not a straight up ..And take the my chances. So, the Chinese guy from The Dark Knight just appeared, not sure if it's the same character.. But awesome, none the less. It's these little things that make up for the fact that they reused the same exact piece of soundtrack for every plottwist, reveal, intense moment or anything. [MOD EDIT]: Seriously, stop double posting. Edited March 24, 2014 by darthYENIK Let me fix that for you.
darthYENIK 8,858
It's not the same character. The Dark Knight trilogy is not in the same canon as Arrow. Although I'm sure they wanted us to believe that when the show was first announced. And seriously, just edit your last post, if you want to add something to a discussion without double posting. Edit: The new episode titled "Birds of Prey" after the team that features Black Canary and Huntress who were both in this episode, had a little nod to a former writer of the comic book of the same name. A police radio breaks in and says they're tracking Huntress on "Gail street, and Simone." An obvious reference to Gail Simone. She writes Batgirl now, I highly suggest it. IDredMan 1,479
Plowing on till the last episode. And gonna post it all on this post through a bunch of edits. And then Imma take a break, then go into Season 2. Then I'll be caught up on 2 superhero-related TV shows that no one here discusses. Wow. Anyway, I'm glad they did an episode that was almost entirely on the island. It was spectacular, although, I think they're going a little too plot-twisty with the flashbacks considering we already know what happens at the end. And I can see J. August Richards swings both ways. (I actually didn't know his name, I only thought Mike Peterson when he walked in there). Aaaaaaaaalright, that ending was absolutely f*cking awesome and sad and everything that's good. Okay ..I lied. I started season 2 less than 10 hours after finishing the first season. Also, my brain has resorted to calling people by different names. Detective Lance -> Trevor Philips (Looks so much like Steven Ogg) Laurel Lance -> Bitch 'Bitch' McBitch Island Oliver -> Dumbass Black Canary -> Not Laurel Lance Shado -> Obligatory female My god... Laurel Lance is the worst character I have ever witnessed on television. I'm getting sick of Felicity's sh*t. The restless-tongue nervous school girl thing is getting boring ..Fast. Also, Laural tried to do something non-bitchy today, ended up being more of a bitch. Edited March 30, 2014 by IDredMan
BuyMeTheMoon 529
Thea and Quentin don't know how to pronounce the letter "s".. It turns into a "sh"... Not supergood, but shupergood. What is up with that? It really really bothers me, are you f*cking sherioush? Edited March 31, 2014 by BuyMeTheMoon
IDredMan 1,479
Alright ..I know I shouldn't double post, but this deserves a separate post. I'v just watched episode 17, all caught up now. I have literally watched 17 episodes over the course of 3 days. That's bad ..Really bad.
IDredMan 1,479
I freeze framed that one Deathstroke appearance. Noticed something peculiar. Vertical breathing holes. More vertical breathing holes. Sideways breathing holes. That's one magical helmet.
BuyMeTheMoon 529
Really?? Just me who is annoyed to hell with the way Thea and Quentin pronounce the letter S ??? I can barely watch this show anymore because of it!
IDredMan 1,479
Really?? Just me who is annoyed to hell with the way Thea and Quentin pronounce the letter S ??? I can barely watch this show anymore because of it! Considering I have a friend who can't correctly pronounce 24 letters of the alphabet, and sounds like he's having an aardvark orgasm whenever he says 4 sentences in a row... Thea's S's just pass by me.. So I never noticed it.
darthYENIK 8,858
I'm constantly calling Slade Wilson, Wade Wilson in my mind. You know, like, "Ohh, Wade Wilson you better not be kidnapping Oliver's sister." I'm sorry, I'm just a bigger fan of the Regeneratin' Degenerate than the Terminator.
IDredMan 1,479
"Deathstroke" literally had a minute of Deathstroke in it. Hope we get more of him next episode, which won't be out next week.. Bummer. Laurel's reaction to finding out about Ollie was so awfully done. And yeah, it's kind of strange that even though Deathstroke came first, Deadpool is the one who will be warmly remembered in our hearts. Deathstroke is awesome, but I still love DP more. darthYENIK 8,858
He looked f*cking rad, though. The next episode looks to have some Ollie v. Deathstroke action.
