DBZMUSICBOY01
Like Rockstar releasing a mini playable demo that shows parts of the game and that it can also expire when GTA V fully comes out ? Just so we can wait the extra time...I mean it will be cool if we all can do testing and to check what we think of the driving and physics and things like that. I wouldn't mind waiting until September if they can do that Just like many companies release demos before the full game come out but Rockstar can give us 15 percent of the map to explore and have maybe 10 vechicles to drive. Just like the Mafia 2 demo is like... We are very good fans of Rockstar and we love them too but we are all mad about the delay. I just hope they can do that...so we can wait patiently for the full game.

UsernameNumber6
I don't mean to insult the majority of you, but why use such a weak reason in your argument? "The last games didn't have Demos, so this one can't!" Really guys? Do you realize what you're typing?

"The last games didn't have Demos, so this one can't!" Really guys? Do you realize what you're typing? Yes, I know exactly what I typed. The only open-world game to have a demo this gen (off the top of my head) was Just Cause 2, and that was timed. The game world is simply too big to warrant a demo, a demo that would most likely take up a lot of space. JonRenemy
Saints Row 1 also had a demo which had barriers to stop you going to certain areas.. well, most of it... and it was buggy as hell because you sometimes ended up outside of it and it would crash. It was a terrible idea.

SlappyPwnsAss
Knowing Rockstar, the only thing gta 5 related in the next 7 months will be a screenshot. ONE SCREENSHOT. Worst marketing ive EVER seen for a game...
wildstyle91
It would be a bad idea for Rockstar to make a demo because it would just mean more work for them. They have to cut out most of the code and make it so we can only access selected features and that would take a while for them to sort out. Just let them get on will the full game and it will come when its ready. A demo would also ruin the magic of playing a new GTA for the first time. But a demo was already made and played by GameInformer, they don't have to do anything, just release it into the public. You also have the choice of not playing or reading about it. Andreas
Rockstar did not release a demo for any of their GTA games since more than a decade and also what would be the point of a demo for a game that is the sequel for the famous Grand Theft Auto series? initium
I think I will forget about GTA V for the next half year or so (yes I said it) Just because I know when it comes out, and I will buy it then. So no need to spoil anymore on screenshots and new trailers. It's better to just step into the world fresh!
Bonfy
I'd just like to pint out that the argument "there has never been a demo since GTA1" is totally invalid. Thinking that way, GTA V shouldn't have multiple protagonists, no submarines, no dogs etc, 'cause "there's never been something like that since GTA1". I'm not saying I think there will be a demo. I am sure there won't. Just saying that it's wrong assuming something as obvious just 'cause it never happened before.
TellEmRye
You go into a club, have a few drinks, a dance, and notice a half decent girl looking at you, and so you move in and begin to feel up your potential bed warmer for that night. You notice a stunning woman looking at you, and you know your going to have to be patient and wait until you can even cop a feel, let alone get down to business. Now, translated to the world of video games, GTA V is that stunning woman. Hope this clears things up.

phexitol
The reason for no demo isn't simply that "there has never been one before". The reason is that the Grand Theft Auto series is well established, and there's simply no need for a demo. The fact that it would also take precious time away from actually developing the game is another factor. The demo shown to the press was unfinished and therefor buggy - releasing that would be a huge mistake that Rockstar isn't going to make. The number of yappy, whiny, entitled kids on here is bad enough, but it would reach even more ridiculous levels were Rockstar to release such a demo.
