Oh ffs So you're telling me there's a chance... /epic facepalm What the hell are you talking about? they are saying that it WONT have a DLC because R* said so (or at least not a big dlc like gta iv eflc or rdr undead nightmare) But i think that maybe the next gen version of GTAV(if there is one) will be exclusive to xbox or playstation, if they pay enough No.. ffs. As GTA V has been confirmed as being this gen only then there will be no DLC for next gen.. because there'll be no V on next gen. Zelnick's response never confirmed or denied anything. He basically said no one is going to wait come September in hopes of a next-gen version. That doesn't mean there will not be one eventually. I'm not saying it would launch with the new console(s) and I certainly don't think that would have been the cause for the delay. Rockstar's debunking of conspiracy theories also does not rule anything out other than it wasn't delayed for that reason. I ask a simple question about the possibility of a version down the road with exclusive DLC and you make a bogus claim that it's been confirmed it won't appear on ps4/xbox720, treating me like a moron in the process. I like to know exactly where sites like GI get their information from and just like many others, they only show the first part of Zelnick's answer. The only way they can realistically do that is by having it on as many consoles as possible. New and Old. Whats the point of only having it on the PS3 and 360 if, 18 months to two years after the game comes out, hardly anyone is even playing their old consoles? On top of that GTAV not being on the new consoles could in theory hold back sales of the next gen machines with it coming out so close to launch. Sony and MS (or just one if its exclusive) will have done a deal with Rockstar to bring it to the new consoles. It makes perfect business sense all round for them to do it. That being said I don't believe for a single second the delay was anything to do with the next gen machines and I'd be surprised if its a launch title. You'll see it the beginning of next year. I guess It could in theory be a launch title with the EU consoles since its expected the PS4 and Xbox 720 will be released in the EU in the new year 2014. Watch the GTA5O'Clock youtube clip from yesterday. There you have a reputable professional games journalist saying he thinks it'll be a cross generation game for the same reasons I just stated. You don't have to be Sherlock Holmes to see that it will come out for the next gen machines. All you have to know is a little bit about the inner workings of the games business. I'll say this again. All of this debate reminds of when the Episodes from LC came out for the 360. There was the same level of opinionated nonsense coming from people here that the DLC's would never come to the PS3 but anyone with half a brain and any knowledge of the games industry knew that they would sooner or later. They were late in the last console generation and it has cost them hundreds of thousands, if not over a million, sells. Sony has always been the first to release their consoles which is why their sells have always been higher than anyone else. When Wii U was announced, it didn't come out until late last year. it was June 2011 when it was first announced, so you are probably correct. Even a simple port of the game to the next gen systems isn't easy. An optimised version is a very, very difficult thing to do. Rockstar have had the next gen dev kits for a while though. Some developers are claiming they were first shipped to 3rd party studios about 18 months to 2 years ago now. Cross generation games do happen of course, just like they happened last time and just like they'll happen again this time.
