I like to know exactly where sites like GI get their information from and just like many others, they only show the first part of Zelnick's answer. His answer about a possible dual release was this... "In terms of strategy around current gen and next gen. We have to wait for the announcements. And as I said, look, we're always looking over our shoulders. I'm a big believer that arrogance is the enemy of continued success," He's definitely not saying it will release on next gen consoles at some point, but he's being very clear to let us know he can't talk about their next gen plans yet. We won't get a fair answer until one of the next gen consoles are announced. The only thing he confirmed was a PS3/360 release in September, which we already knew. I get a feeling that GTA V will be shown, a work in progress type deal, or something like that... I agree the delay aspect is probably a ridiculous rumor, even though I never trust developers when it comes to delay reasons, unless they say something is actually wrong with the game. If they just want more time to simply make the game look prettier, good for them, but it sounds like BS to me. I just think there are a few different arguments going around, and the people who talk about a possible next gen port all get lumped together. I believe it will happen, but I don't know when. It's okay to believe that Sony is going to announce their next generation console, but to believe that Rockstar would port an optimized version of Grand Theft Auto V to next generation consoles is insane! Have y'all heard the gossip about Sony's pricing for the Playstation 4? They said it was at least to be over $400. R* said September 17 is a worldwide release for the PS3 and X360 versions. Therefore it's NOT next gen and both versions will be released on the same day. When before has either Sony or Microsoft (working with PlayStation and Xbox respectively) announced their newest console or big product and released it in the same year? Never. The best that could happen is that we get the PlayStation 4 and "Xbox 720" in the fall of *next year*. Now many rumours about the next gen consoles say that it they will have a similar cpu gpu chip and it should be easy to port a game on them, so i think there will be a pc/xbox720/ps4 release q2 next year! So because I suggest that R* shows those "leaks" just for fun and/or to see people's reactions, I have no idea about R* does their marketing? Okay alfred, thanks for clarifying. And btw, I made my case when I first mentioned it. The timing of the release, the music ("I don't need no men, speaking lies"), the editing, it has kind of the same vibe trailer #2 provides. I asked for a different trailer that only shows off the environment without any dialogues a few weeks ago. After the delay was announced people asked for something as compensation. The party turned sour... Now what if R* just "leaked" another piece of what seems to be testing grounds for landscape and physics or whatever to spark off something. They can imagine, maybe, that the delay made a few people sad so they dropped another "fake" trailer.Those who digg it might cheer up, some might not care at all. Whatever, believe it or not but the clip had me excited again after I was somewhat disappointed to see V would be delayed. R* is the silent marketing type, if you will. They don't say much to the press, but they're inkognito on forums in comment sections and so on. Said Youtube account and clips could be part of that observing undercover-play. Sometimes you do/created something but let someone else take the credit, on purpose. Ghostwriters come to mind. Just sayin, the video was too well done and the timing & musical choice was too coincidental. Now you can say nay all day, and others may call me a retard all night long if they want, but my point of view is legit and based on something. Opposed to replies a la 'NO you're wron'...or 'retard'. Just cause nobody can see it happening, because they lack the right pair of eyes to lok at a t it from a certain point of view, doesn't mean it's implausible.
