Wow, the whole section is full of crybabies. Would you rather have it now and ending up like sh*t or wait and let them delay it so they can to polish a near-perfect game?

Some of us have a reason to be mad... What really pissed me off is they had us waiting all month for the cover, and then on the very last day we get a delay. devil.gif I'll bet money they knew for weeks the game would be delayed. Bad move, R*. rahkstar2.gifanuj_cop.gif

December 2010 Bethesda announced Skyrim along with a release date of 11.11.11. Guess what? They delivered Skyrim on 11.11.11. Will Rockstar ever be capable of such a feat?

Looking back over the past 15 years they have been making games, I have to say No lol.gif

Yes, with many, many glitches and the inability to launch downloadable content on one of their primary sales platforms.

Try harder.

Rockstar is excellent to make games but the communication is the total opposite of the quality of their game... i think they would do an effort for the most ambitious game ever made from them...

DLC is launching on PS3 next month and what games don't have glitches? IV was delayed for "extra polish" and it still had glitches. Bethesda has supported Skyrim since day 1 with patches.

"DLC is launching on PS3 next month" Yeah, almost a year and a half after the release.... I'm sure most of the PS3-Skyrim people have moved on from the game.

As much as the delay is annoying to many (and tbh - I'm not overly surprised that it's been pushed back again), in reality GTAV "promises" to be the biggest game ever and I can't even begin to comprehend the amount of hours and work that's already gone into this and my gut feeling still tells me GTAV will not disappoint. I'm prepared to wait a little longer..... smile.gif

Long term, and on the other hand, I'm not even going to think about how long GTA6 (if it happens) will take to develop for the next wave of consoles (PS4 / xbox720 or whatever it's going to be called) LOL.

Wow, the whole section is full of crybabies. Would you rather have it now and ending up like sh*t or wait and let them delay it so they can to polish a near-perfect game?

Here's why:

Yesterday when the bad news broke i was simply shocked...and that was it. Pretty soon i was 'over' it and that was that. But the start of my day today was beyond f*cked up. I've never had this before, because jesus christ man..it's a game, but i feel down. It's like,....waiting such a long time for the new GTA game, and you know how amazing it's going to be. They finally come with more updates and the awesome news of the GI cover, second trailer and release window f*cking completed it. Spring 2013 in November sounded very far off, but it really wasn't so bad at all, i mean it's already February, a couple of months was nothing.

But we should have known this, it was too quiet. Screw the stuff about 'not showing too much and keeping plenty back to surprise people' that's nonsense, this wasn't going to come out in Spring all along. And there's nothing wrong with that. It's just wrong how they handled the situation, they fully realized how long they had waited to announce a release window and they also knew how excited their fans would become when they would come with such news.

Which brings me to the next thing. And this is for those annoying-ass folks who suddenly appeared after the news broke, the ones who on purpose keep whining at complainers, at disappointed people. Maybe you could use that brain of yours for a change and THINK why people reacted so mad? Do you honestly think they don't want Rockstar to deliver a game in its very best condition? Do you honestly think they badmouth Rockstar just for fun and because they are 'whiny little babies' ? Jeez..maybe a few, but i bet most of them aren't. I'll tell you what is the real reason behind it and it's very understandable.

They finally announced the release window last year, hardcore GTA fans go absolutely wild and are excited as hell. Some simply await it patiently, do other things, play other games in the meantime, maybe not visit the forum on a daily basis, and for some others the exact opposite goes. I'm a bit in between, i play plenty of other games and i was busy working on my backlog so that i didn't have a sh*tload of unfinished games when this game would come out. I did visit the forum on a daily basis and any GTA V news was great. Things were looking great early January with all kinds of 'promises' about lots more things to look forward to like a box-art. They also for some reason once again confirmed the Spring 2013 release window in mid-January and all that. But it takes goddamn long, the end of the month is nearing and nothing happens. Last day of January....and they come with that kind of news. They f*cking had to wait till the very last day?

THAT is the reason people are annoyed, angry, disappointed and simply done with this sh*t for a while. It's kinda similar to....you buy a ticket to a concert of some artist that you absolutely love, you can't wait to go see it and it's only one show in your country. But all of a sudden it gets cancelled. You won't be disappointed? Bullsh*t. And that situation would even be understandable. A better example would be..some artist that you dig alot promises several previews or even full songs of his upcoming album, he keeps teasing you about it and he also teases the release date. And then out of the blue when you actually expect good news..you get the news that he changed his mind, no songs, no preview..album delayed for another 8 months.

So get that through your thick skull please. OF COURSE people want a near perfect product, so stop with that nonsense like 'LMAO @ these kids that are angry at R* for wanting to make a product even better'. No...use your brain! Or the people that reply to others that are disappointed and say they won't be visitng the forum for a while, and then they say...ok good, bye bye, you won't be missed. Or whatever, that sh*t is unnessecary and i really wonder why ya'll even do that.

I'm done now.

By the way this was a kid speaking. A kid of 30 years old.

He'll come back.

Yeah, it sucks that its delayed, But what would you guys rather have, something that is "half-assed" or something that is perfect?  Seriously, I think you guys will live a few more months.

Just because a game is delayed does not mean it will be "perfect". No game is perfect.

And IMHO, Max Payne 3 is a superb game, as well as L.A Noire.

I suppose I should have used a different word than perfect, I should have expected someone on here to take it out of context.

But on a side note. The people who are crying like little sissys.... it being delayed a bit longer isnt going to kill you.. You have waited this long, suck it up, find another game to play until then to pass time. suicidal.gif

theres so many people in here who should get their heads out of their asses, i won't even comment on the criers, but to the people who just assume that just because they delayed it we will get this super 100% bug free game just think about this, what will you say if they release it in september (or maybe even after another delay) and the game still turns out of be a buggy piece of sh*t ?

December 2010 Bethesda announced Skyrim along with a release date of 11.11.11. Guess what? They delivered Skyrim on 11.11.11. Will Rockstar ever be capable of such a feat?

Yes, with many, many glitches and the inability to launch downloadable content on one of their primary sales platforms.

Firstly, it's been nearly a year and a half since the game released on PS3. The only guys that are still playing on the platform are very loyal fans and releasing some extra content isn't going to bring anyone who used to play the game back, especially after a year and a half long drought.

Secondly, one of the PS3's versions biggest glitches was the framerate issue. The consoles framerate could, at any time drop to below 10 FPS, that's unacceptable as is not patching it until at least four months after release. Bethesda put themselves in a marketing hole so deep that they weren't able to climb out and that's why releasing a game on the originally specified release date is not always good.

I had it on PS3 first of all. Second of all, just because a game is a year and a half old, it doesn't mean you can't play it anymore. That game is massive. All of the Elder Scrolls games are massive. People still play Morrowind and that came out over 10 years ago. Rockstar needs to learn how to meet deadlines. Quite honestly, its become embarrassing.

Jesus Christ people! Rockstar actually cares enough to delay their game (which they know will make some people butthurt) to make it even better. Would any EA Sports game get delayed for the same reason? No, and that's why R* is great. Anyone who is complaining is ungrateful and doesn't deserve the awesomenes that will be V.

I have spoken!

As do I, but I can assure you that we aren't the majority in this situation, also I've seen how you're not too open to responding to what I said about the glitches.

I suppose it all comes down to this, do you want V to be released broken ? I sure don't so be happy for the delay and realise that it's really not as much of a delay as it is a release date..

I'd be pissed if it was a buggy piece of sh*t. What I don't understand is why you're judging the game 8 months before the release date, without knowing at what state the development is at.

Personally, I'm indifferent to the delay. I trust that they would deliver a quality game over a rushed one. Look what happens when you are on a 2 year release schedule - you get a sh*tty game like Saints Row.

We can't do sh*t about that so we have to wait and hope this extra time makes it worth our time. But still:

7 month and 15 day's left guys. It hurts when I think back when 2 day ago I thought that it will get released in April/May(3-4 months).

Felipe busquets and more folks at Rockstar north team were constantly allowed and taking vacations during the 2012 period.

That doesn't make much sense to me. I am not questioning the man hours put in, but makes you wonder.

Not that I wouldn't take your word for it. But do you have a source for this?

Yes and also working 7 days a week, often way past midnight.

I think you're over exaggerating and making up the "folks at Rockstar north constantly allowed to take vacations" part.
