DarkEnchantress Posted January 30, 2013 Share Posted January 30, 2013 (edited) Making all *three* protagonists the same sex was a missed opportunity on Rockstars part. For the first time in the series they could have created a woman for the single player with there still being two other male characters to play as for people who prefer playing a male role. For those who say it doesn't make sense for a woman to be a cold blooded criminal and that GTA is a mens world.. doesn't anyone remember Catalina from GTA San Andreas? She was ten times the killer Carl Johnson was and took the player on some pretty ballsy heists. A character like her would fit perfectly while many other possibilities both entertaining and plausible exist. Also this isn't an argument about equality or sexism, I hate those. Am simply saying it would be a nice change of pace and a more diverse and fun experience if we got the chance to experience the GTA world with a badass woman at the helm with her own part to play in the story. At the very least I believe Rockstar should strongly consider creating a Female Character with her own plot and missions for a future DLC if they will not include one in the main release of the game. That way, we would have a choice of what sex we can play as while keeping it realistic . And Hurrikane, cut her some slack, she's new here. Happyness Posted January 30, 2013 Share Posted January 30, 2013 To be honest, I personally wouldn't like it, whilst it is a change, yes, it'd be a good addition, but I wouldn't like to be forced to play as a girl. Unless they would make an option to play as either a female or male. No offense to the opposite sex, but I wouldn't enjoy a game of GTA playing as a female character. Even a minor one that was optional to play as from time to time when you'd get bored of playing as Michael, Trevor and Franklin would be nice for female gamers, those who like a little eye candy in their adventures or people who would just enjoy seeing a lady do the wild and outrageous things people can do in a GTA game. (Along the lines of the officer being a criminal-by-night anti-hero type working on the inside, rather than the girl being arrested) It's a good point you make about it being a missed opportunity. Surely 2 out of 3 males is enough to keep things gritty? It really would have boosted the "revolutionary" stance it's taking, being a numerical iteration.
