Icarus
Lot of head scratching with all these flags for infringements popping up. Most of the penalties in the game last night were pretty straightforward (maybe with the exception of the illegal formation in the first quarter - I didn't pay attention to the specifics the ref gave). I was laughing when all the flags were flying during the brawl and a couple of officials threw their hats off to mark the penalties. I was expecting someone to get tossed, but no one did. A J
Nearly the first time I watched a whole American football game, was quite entertaining too, pity I went to bed once I thought the Baltimore Ravens had it in the bag. That whole kick, and then catch....and then touch down straight through the whole pitch was brilliant, that commonly happen? Pity BBC coverage didn't show these commercials for a laugh Link to comment https://gtaforums.com/topic/543293-super-bowl-xlvii/page/3/#findComment-1062207183 Share on other sites
El Dildo
Maybe if we have goal posts the width of the field and award 7 goals every time the ball goes in then we would elimate these 0-0's and other low scoring draws . That period of a slight blackout really swung the momentum around. Went to bed towards the end of the third quarter, looks like i missed an exciting ending in this game. look I don't really care. I was just making fun of the guy who came into a football thread to make fun of football you're right it was definitely a tale of 2 halves. the game was pretty boring until the power-outtage. suddenly San Francisco goes on a tear and almost wins with 4 seconds to play. a lot of people in the US will consider this one of the more memorable Super Bowls of all time. Pity BBC coverage didn't show these commercials for a laugh Thats called a kick return for a Touchdown. An no that doesnt happen very often. The record for most kick returns for touchdowns is held by Leon Washington of the Seattle Seahawks and Josh Cribbs of the Cleveland Browns.. Congrats though on watching nearly most of the game. Some can be quite intense (i point back to the Packers vs Seahawks [sorry again Packers fans]) and some aren't like the Cardinals vs Seahawks game up in Seattle. Capricornus
This Superbowl was tremendous, and I am very happy with the outcome. I would have been satisfied had the 49ers won too. In the beginning, when the score was 28-6, I started to get a little pissed, because it looked like the Superbowl would be a blowout. The 49ers turned it up in the second half, but that wasn't enough. Alongside of all the Ray Lewis talk, I am really happy for Ed Reed, Anquan Boldin, Joe Flacco, T-Sizzle, Torrey Smith and the whole team in general. And Beyonce's performance was superb. I wouldn't be surprised if the 49ers made it back to the Superbowl next year. Funktipus
Taco Bell commercial (senior citizens having a good night out) and the GoDaddy commercial with the geek and model kissing were the best. I laughed my ass off. I liked the Oreo and the sketchers commercials the best, I almost cried they were so funny Good to see Ray Lewis go out with a super bowl, it wouldn't be right if he didn't. I do think the 49ers got robbed at the end though, that was holding for sure. Yeah, the refs ate the whistle on that one, but they called it light most of the game. How about the hit on Flacco when he was out of bounds? Jacoby Jones was a beast, but what about some of the catches Boldin made? Dude was money out there. Had to laugh at Harbaugh complaining about the no-call. Two weeks ago he benefited from a no-call at the of the Falcon game. I questioned his play-calling on the goal line. Not ONE running play for Kaepernick? I'm glad we won't have to see that fraud Ray Lewis and his tired act anymore. I might be an American but NFL football might as well be called Handball. And soccer? Well, thats played with your feet so let us forgoe some of our unnecessary pride and call it what it is? Anway, great game it was! Best commercial was from Samsung..and that one about G.O.D. and farmers was pretty straight too. I must admit. I'm disrespecting people who want to argue about what we call it. because that's a really dumb, petty argument. in the United States we call gridiron "football" and we call football "soccer" and we're not going to stop anytime soon. deal with it Link to comment https://gtaforums.com/topic/543293-super-bowl-xlvii/page/3/#findComment-1062207957 Share on other sites

Funktipus
According to WFAN's Mike Francesca, the NFL is considering Rihanna for next year's halftime show at MetLife stadium. Jesus H. tubbs51
I didn't mind Beyonce. It could have been better but it could have been much worse. I'd like to see an actual rock band thats not consisting of members in their 60s and 70s. And definitely not Nickleback *shudder* Link to comment https://gtaforums.com/topic/543293-super-bowl-xlvii/page/3/#findComment-1062212261 Share on other sites
