Fair enough I reported a mods post, but only because he started that topic just to tell the members on the forum they are idiots and was being very insulting to every normal member on this forum. If that was anyone else...they would have been banned. Soft cock even locked his post straight away so no-one could give their opinion, pussy. So corrupt.. Whatever happened to Slamman? I would always see him get busted then he'd be back but I've never seen him do anything ban worthy. I am seriously curious about this. Why is Slamman always banned. Let back on and then banned again? I have asked this question many times and I have never gotten a response. People just ignore it like it is some kind of secret I'm not allowed to be in on. I already got more posts than most people make in 2 years here. But that's not how it works here. You have to be helpful, respectful, and maybe respected. This is true. Placing someone into a moderating postition due to post count is retarded IMO. It's not something that happens overnight. It took me 4 years before I was asked to help out with the GTA V forum. If I had to give anyone advice with aspirations on becoming a mod it would be just be a good member of the community and by that I don't mean intentionally tone it down to kiss ass. Just be yourself and you may get a call up one day. The worst thing anyone could do though as far as I'm concerned is ask to become a moderator. I wasn't asking to be a mod, just how it goes about becoming one. I was able to do it over at Gametrailers (until they demoted and banned me) and ThatFatAtheist forums because of my post count. Post counts have nothing to do with becoming a moderator, at least not here on GTAForums. Attorney General has barely 1600 posts and he is a global moderator since a longer time now. If it would work like this then everyone would spam up the forum to become a moderator. You have to massively contribute to the forums, being a good member, being respected by a lot of members, being active, following the rules and try to not violate them, and many more things. That is just a part because there are many more things. You can not ask for it, the staff must ask you. One of the worst things you can do is asking for it and also you should only contribute to the forum because you want it and not because of a target like getting medals, becoming a moderator or whatever. The day Slamman returns will be a very big day for GTAForums. The question is, will he ever return? Or better said, will the staff allow him to return? I do not think so. You would think that off topic posts are not a big deal but what Slamman has done was a big deal. I am seriously curious about this. Why is Slamman always banned. Let back on and then banned again? There were several reasons for it. Slamman posted constantly offtopic in all possible topics in a lot of subforums, especially in the GTA V forum and in the Tech & PC Chat forum. His posts were not only offtopic, hell, they were extremely offtopic and I can remember that in some topics, every second post was from Slamman and all of them were offtopic since he told his life history or whatever. Well, to stop this the staff temp banned him for this very often but when he was temp banned he PM'ed other members to ask them if they can post for him or if he can use their accounts to post, thus his temp bans were extended. When the temp bans were over, he posted offtopic again in a lot of topics and for his he received reminders, warnings and temp bans. The staff was extremely lenient to Slamman, and even though he has been given so many chances he never changed. I think the main problem was that Slamman don't wanted to change. He behaved a bit better sometimes, especially when the GTANet annual forum awards were around the corner but that was it already. He has two awards, one from the 2008 GTANet Awards and one from the 2011 GTANet Awards, each of them were for winning the 'Most Improved' section. Being helpless, I decided to ask for help in Tech & PC Chat section and later ended up becoming a victim of Slamman. I was quite a noob back then. Here's my topic's main post. I installed a software called Morp something it is used to convert our voice. During the installation, I got a message that(Cant remember properly) saying Microsoft.NET Framework must be restored...I dont remebr. I gave ok wih no knowledge. The installation got over and my Pc began to lag and all my games too. My GtA san andeas is my favourite it lags a lot. I think Net framewok is removed cuz I checked Local Disk C and the folder was empty. Please, help me. I need help. Is this due to the absence of Net framework? Or, any possible solution to gain the performance of my PC back? And, here comes Slamman.. Some programs embed themselves fairly well into the OS to prevent cut and paste, others allow you to drag key saves to HDD stored in folders moved to USB drive from your desktop, as long as you have HARD COPY or backup programs, you can clear the troublesome HDD format, any and all issues to varying degree.I have HDD issues of my own, and to try and save the COA when reformatting to correct, that's the scariest prospect, I think I have to contact Microsoft to confer beforeI wipe my drive, but one way to access corrupted data is daisy-chaining to a working drive, share the OS if possible, Home to Home, Pro to Pro System Restore doesn't work for me because it wasn't backing up after key updates in the way I had assumed it would, it'd be better if you backed up with the OS Restore utility without being prompted, BEFORE trouble strikes! That's why you should use more then one FREE AV tool, MaxPC tested suites recently and still pegged Norton as the best (revamped in recent years from the groundup) Windows ME introduced Sys Restore, and it seemed simpler and effective for me back then, but less so now, XP will be an OS standard for 10 more years, no fears! Microsoft's .NET Framework, that I know of is not related to your personal data but rather bridging communication means online between all the assorted computers in CYBER SPACE, Since the differences demand a protocol much like a driver is used to add new hardware to your OS software locally I was dumb enough to assume that he was just trying to help me and thanked him but later ended up getting a slap from Wolf via PM and also explaining who Slamman was and how his post made no sense at all. Also, this is Wolf's post in that topic.. @Slamman .NET Framework has nothing to do with"CYBER SPACE" (btw why did you use that term and why is it all caps?). It's a library and support for several different programming languages. @shiva s You kind have to read Slamman's babble a few dozen times before it makes a lick of sense, and by that time your brain is mush which is properly why it makes sense after that. You can get whatever version of .NET that you need directly from Microsoft, in fact that's the much preferred way to do it since you'll know the source is the right one Mike who was a very apt Tech guy, he IT's for Microsoft infact, he offered me a .NET removal software tool, and perhaps you might want to keep CCleaner (Crap Cleaner) onhand, since it scans for removable files and offers tools on the side, like START UP menu edits and Registry cleaning, all FREE!!By .Net dealing with CyberSpace (in CAPS!!) Imean it's not related to hardware specifics,as that impedes Networking, NET is really short for it's relation to Networking and specifically introduced in REWRITTEN form for MS' Server 2003 suite. I'm just updating mine now, in fact, the home version of NET is not required, however, as MS and others use the software infrastructure for Web 2.0 basically, the more software you might want to use online will require your NET local software as part of Windows Update, there are several versions, Service Packs and Safety patches, so be aware, outside ofanything else, .NET is a massive bunch of OSfiles added to the things you have cluttering your HDD space! .NET has NOTHING to do with networking, the internet or CYBER SPACE! If you want to use any option of the menu of the left side then the ban screen nevertheless remains. They get smarter and smarter, some can even interact while linking sites. Other topics may vanish as new news comes in, 20 topics are made at the same time. He probably periodically comes back to check if he's unbanned. Remember that in his member log, GT-1 sorta implied that there was a chance of him being unbanned. I'm not sure what the solution is, but I know it doesn't include temporary bans every other month. I'm going to issue your account with a full ban until we can find a permanent solution to the problem, perhaps this is the permanent solution.
