How you got your Usernames?

I put my first name and surname into a blender and my username was my final result;

I've used it in different networks and memberships and I actually got inspiration from a classic TV-show i watched as a child. Some of the Swedish members may be aware of it - "Bert". It features a villain in a couple of episodes that is called "Dödgrävaren", which was roughly translated and shortened to "Deathdigger". Also, as the immature child I was, I decided to add "-swe" to make me more recognizable to the players with the same nationality, since I first used the name on XBL.

 

My brother actually had a quite interesting background to his XBL username as well (if you'd consider my story interesting ). As a child he was often spoken to as "Mackan" by his friends, due to his actual name - Marcus. Unlike most conventional nicknames though, it actually had a meaning. In plain English it can be translated to "the Toast", which is his current username.

I tried blitz but it was taken, so I added a period to my name. A little over a year ago jelly removed my period and I was forced into menopause.

When I joined this forum I thought that putting the first 3 letters of my name between 2 Zs would make a cool username, now I know that it isn't true.

 

 

Perhaps in the future I'll be able to change it to something like Danz or 1337_M1$7£R, who knows.

I seriously don't know how I came up with my username, I just thought of Dogman but that was taken, so I just mixed the two words and put in "ManDog".

Everytime I die on a game and there's no replay, or whatever it's called I say "WhatThe?" I was going to add "f*ck" at the end but, Im guessing that wouldn't of been allowed.

On a math test about area/perimeter in grade 6 or so, our teacher reminded us about including the unit measurements at the end of the number (cm and m). So I immediately wrote down "cm2" beside my name to remember to include it.

 

She hands the tests back a week later, and when she calls my name, she adds the extra "centimeter squared" part at the end. Thunderous laugh immediately ensued. From that moment on, "Gionascm2" has been my username for everything I've ever registered for.

Kinda expensive sigarettes i used to smoke back in those days. Kinda liked the name.

Then i found out they also make whiskey, so i just had to try it, pretty good too but i think they don't make it anymore. Was f*cking expensive.

But to be honest it was because i had a pack laying in front of me at the time i made my account, lmao.

The added 't' is because we Rotterdammers have our own dialect and sometimes add t's to nouns for fun.

But yeah, i would gladly change it if i can. GTAF is the only place i use this name. I still kinda like it though

I didn't like my previous usernames and I wanted to make a new account to change my name. I didn't know what name to choose and I started typing underscores, I thought they looked neat and I settled to five of them for some reason. I still like this name as much as I did in the beginning and I don't think I'll ever get bored of it in spite of all the criticism I received for it.

 

The fact that all of my old usernames identified with some sort of concept or object and that this one doesn't do that, resonates with a recent realization of mine, that one's true self is beyond any identification with thoughts or external objects.

I would receive The Rolling Stones' newsletter that included information on what they were up to and what new albums and tours they were doing and so on. The name of that newsletter was Stone's Head Digest and I adopted the name. The '37' used to be my favorite Ranger hockey player's number for a few years, Ryan VandenBussche.

Well, 'Carl Johnson' is the protagonist of GTA San Andreas and I have added the initials of the name after the first name so 'Carl CJ Johnson', his brother's name is Brian so the result is 'Carl CJ Johnsons Brother Brian'. I came up with my username, natethegreatforlife, after I went through 2 other email addresses. I lost the password for those two, so I had to create a new email. I tend to use the same username as my email if it's avaliable. The name is kind of long however, and I wish I had chosen another name. Oh well.
