Ziggy455
We've been it pretty hard with this predicted 'three weeks of snow.' Governments put the weather level to Red Snow. Apparently the blizzard weather will be here for three weeks. Red Warning! "I might have laughed if I'd have remembered how."
Ziggy455
It was snowing quite a bit down here earlier but it has stopped for now. We're expecting light snow later and no snow until Sunday -- apparently. England's got the worse of it I think. Yeah, I'll upload some videos and pics later. We've got the wrath down here, man. Blizzard-like. Five inches. "I might have laughed if I'd have remembered how."

4 Bagger
Here in Manchester, there's barely anything. There's constant slight flurries of it but it doesn't stick and it melts pretty much straight away. There's been no school/college closures round this area and not a substantial amount of traffic like there has been in other places.
Mr Rabbit
I had to abandon my bus on the way back from my exam a dick move in retrospect especially considering I was driving at the time not really
Ziggy455
Snow is beautiful at night. Being a film student I felt the need to take some raw footage of snow in my area and splice in some music and such. Makes everything so much better. I'm making sure to get lots of footage before we return back to the drizzly, boring weather. "I might have laughed if I'd have remembered how." I'm in Chester and we've got a good three or four inches of snow so far (it's still snowing). Had to bloody cycle to and from work in it too. GreatGig
There's a fair bit around here. I'm loving the fact that the snow in my garden is completely untouched, it looks far better than all the brown slush that's on the roads. I went for a walk this morning and ended up feeling like Bear Grylls battling the weather. Here's a panoramic I just took:
Kirsty
It's been constantly snowing here since last night in the midlands. The roads were fine to get to work this morning but then a sudden flurry came and it's been chaos since. A few of us were able to go home because buses were getting stuck going up and down the hill near my job and we had further to go, roads were just treacherous. Nice to have a half day and everywhere looks lovely though!
860
I find it pretty hilarious that on the Finland Sweden Norway axis this is everyday life during the winter and airports are never really closed form more than 20 minutes, but when it snows in the UK all hell brakes loose. 4 Bagger
Even Blackpool has had its fair share, and they barely get anything. I think it's on it's way in Manchester though. I hope there isn't much football cancelled tomorrow...
Vercetti27
definitely the most snow we've had in years, about 6 or 7 inches fell today in bristol, everything stopped.
thebestgameever
So far there is quite a lot in Nottingham, the winds makes it feel VERY cold and makes it almost blizzard like. But its not as bad as 2010, but that could change if it continues like this.

Trund
Haha, looks like the British act even worse when it comes to snow than here. At least people learned here to deal with it, as it snowed quite a lot in the past winters (as well as temperatures as low as -25c). We have snow too right now, and from the pictures I've seen the amount is about the same, but everything works fine here.
Kirsty
Haha, looks like the British act even worse when it comes to snow than here. Happens every year typical of us Brits lol. It's on the news how there is a big snow coming, so they send all the gritters out and it doesn't arrive. Then they give a date, warning we'll get a certain amount and no one believes them, the day comes and it doesn't stop! Buses, trains, airports, schools all close. Even the doctors want to go home. A couple of cm and the whole country goes to a stand still and people start overbuying in Tesco or whatever, and you can barely move in traffic. I'm just glad there hasn't been too much snow where I am, people do my f*cking head in when it has snowed. I've still got to have a driving lesson in this, so that shall be fun. It's not much different here. Well, actually trains and stuff do happen to TRY, but usually fail. Few years ago I was in a highspeed train on the way to school, but the main train line was blocked or something, so the driver decided to take an alternative route. Unfortunately that track wasn't cleaned and so the train ended up getting stuck in the snow. It was hilarious when all the workers outside tried to shovel away the snow from the train. that will be the case for us eventually. it ddid not used to snow regular so we were always caught off guard as the governemnt and local councils do not like to spend too much money on maybies but it has snowed, regular as clockwork in January for a good few years now so... soon we will adapt. I understand that. It was quite bad here too when it started to snow again in winter few years ago, since for many many years before that we didn't have snow at all anymore. It surprises me every year now that we get snow again, didn't think it'll ever happen again.
Ziggy455
I believe that we're looking at a situation worse than 2010. There's a storm headed my way. ainsz
Here's a tweet from Jeremy Clarkson a few days back: "@JeremyClarkson: People of the world. Stay away from Britain. It is locked in ice chaos. On high ground, the snow is 2cm deep. Authorities are losing control" It truly captures how "dildonic" our country is at reacting to snow. GreatGig
Worst in 30 years?Seriously? I'm not even cold. I guess that would have something to do with the fact that you're indoors. Unless, of course, you're some kind of moron who chose to sit outside in this weather with his PC. In that case, bravo.
Shoumaker
Wow look at you people complaining about snow, we never even had snow. We just hit our record temperature of 2 Degrees Celcius in Bangladesh. I wish we had Snow sometimes, although people in our country would find it very hard to live if it is as cold as it is there in the UK. Seeing some posts here I'm guessing it is over rated? Well, people do want what they can't get so theres that.
