Will GTA V have Sim-Like Features?

I know what you guys are probably thinking: "Oh not another fail thread" or " Hell no, This is GTA, not The Sims!" But just hear me out. I have been playing The Sims 2 for the past few weeks, and it got me thinking, What if GTA V had some of the features that The Sims has? I mean I don't want it to be exactly like The Sims, i'm just saying that some of the features woul be good for GTA V. For Instance, what if we could take our Family out for dinner in GTA V? Like we could order and choose what meal we wanted, or like a buffet go get want you want at the buffet table and then be seated and have dinner. I think this would be cool, a first for the series! I mean I want GTA V to be a fresh start, so why not? It would also be cool if they threw in the option to use the bathroom, kinda how they let you in Sleeping Dogs, which was optional. I know some of you might disagree with me and say go back to playing The Sims if you want that, but as a big GTA fan, I just want to say a feature like this will make me love the game even more!

So, that being said, do you want something like this in GTA V as an optional feature? I mean if GTA V is going to be more Life-Like, why not throw it in? Give me some opinons on what you think. Just don't call me a fag for thinking creative. lol.giflol.gif

EDIT: And for you TL;DR guys out there, This feature could be entirely Optional, don't want to use it, don't use it!

Lol, and if they implent this; "WTF IS THIS sh*t ABOUT? WHY WOULD THEY ALLOW ME TO TAKE MY FAMILY OUT FOR DINNER IN GTA V"

And everybody complaints. Like what happened with GTA IV. (And yes, tons of people requested those minigames.)

No, I wouldn't want something like this as an optional feature, or any sort of "Sims" features as stuff like this in a GTA game is just silly - I'm not entirely against it though if it actually comes with some sort of a reward. For example, it was bad enough that they brought girlfriends into the series with GTA: San Andreas and GTA IV - any feature like this would only serve to degrade the quality of the overall game IMO but with that being said, the friends feature from GTA IV is actually decent as you got rewards for building up your friendships with characters.

The idea of being able to choose what meal you choose to eat with your family at a restaurant, or having the option to go to the toilet, even if it is optional, is taking it a little too far; doesn't matter how "life-like" the game is going to be. Most players of GTA V won't be doing this stuff anyway so there would be no real point in having it even in the game IMO.

SA was too sim-like for me. Don't want it.

Also it was annoying to go out with the girls in IV. This won't return and I'm really thankful for this.

I don't want to be asked for getting flowers and go bowling.

(BTW: I like the SIM-games very much! But if I want to play a sim-game, I simply play a simgame smile.gif )

Maybe sim-like interaction.

Lol at first, I actually thought GTA V Trailer 1 was a trailer for The Sims 4.

I mean, they had the same graphics back then.

Some of you guys are not reading my entire post, I said it could be OPTIONAL. The people that wants to use it, could use it, the people that don't want to use it, don't use it. Many GTA games had optional features in the past, in this game, I am positive it won't change.

Sorry, if it's optional I'm fine with that smile.gif Of course these stuff shouldn't affect the gameplay anyhow (not necessary to do 100%, no benefits given etc)

Dude, there are games like that already especially Sleeping Dogs and Mafia II. I don't see those interactions on Red Dead Redemption, so big whoop.

I highly doubt this would happen, I mean if you like it go ahead and like it I won't bash you for it, but optional options like this would eat up disc space and detract a more vavluvale, to the gta genre that is, option or activity, think of the mocap and all the work they'd have to put into just so you and your family could eat, unless they have NPCs eating at shopping centers, then I could see a manageable situation where this could come into play, but I just don't see this happening.

Wtf? Haha so yeah, in free-roam we could all go to a restaurant and eat and use the bathroom together. Lol.

If we could put some new stuff (like a couch, table or television) in our houses, it would be pretty cool.

Redesigning houses could be a must. After all I do love to see some rather change of cosmetics from many houses. But that's all.

he's not talking about turning it into the sims, jesus, he's saying about interaction with your family and friends, it opens it up for some hilarious situations, you really think his dysfunctional family will have a nice dinner? it could also lead to some good side missions, I don't mean cutting up steak, but what if in the middle of dinner some nutcase comes in with a gun and starts blasting? or someone kidnaps your wife from the bathroom or something?

I think your completely right man. They should make these things MANDATORY in the game though. You know, I fly for a virtual airline on FSX and I think that Rockstar should put realistic air traffic and the ability to fly to different cities and realistic aircraft in V. I also play Spore and Rockstar should put the ability to evolve your protags from single celled organisms into V!

My point, of course, is that just because you got a stiffy playing a games doesnt mean that R* should impliment elements of that game into V. Not EVERYTHING lends itself well to open world crime games. Go back to playing sims.

My answer is - NO. Its completely f*cking useless and would be a waste of game code that could be used for something else.

There's already Yoga. I won't be surprised if we get to choose the mat colour, and that there's a physio-o-meter to fill when performing various pilates.

Waste of disk space that could be used to create a crime themed mini game rather than taking your family out. The thing is with options like this in the game people only use them once at most then realise that they do it in real life so its boring.

i'm sure it was mentioned somewhere that you could follow NPC's around like Michael's gardener and he would actually have a life like you could follow him to his own house n stuff

I bet this won't happen. Even if this would be the closest thing to something like the sims - and I would like that. But R* said this the first time for SA, second for IV. It never happend.

so many people just read the title then reply without thinking. some sim like features would improve gameplay, tbh I see gun customization and clothing as sim like features, and you're all begging for them.

yes, but the OP suggested things like standing on a buffet, buying scrambled eggs for your family wink.gif

I think IV was pushing it with Sim-like features. Adding more of those instead of open-world-crime-game-ish features would be pretty stupid. I think they should keep these simulator-type things to either the same level or less than IV. In-game TV, internet, "hanging out" is pretty cool on paper, but it gets stale quickly in-game; better to minimize these and add things that made past GTAs fun.

I for one never had a problem with the girlfriend feature whats a criminal with all that money and no bitches . I dont care if they implement some sims like feature they have already taken the sim feature for switching protags. People wont admit it though lmao
