Have you made sure that you have put your audio tracks in the 'User Tracks' folder which can be found in the 'GTA San Andreas User Files' folder inside my documents? Also have you tried scanning the user tracks? It should play the music then instead of play the advertisements.

To scan go to Options > Audio Setup > User Track options > Scan user tracks.

The pictures can be found in the 'Gallery' in 'GTA San Andreas User files'.

Are you sure that's the correct folder? If you're on Vista, it's known to create the User Files folder in more than one location. (Can't confirm this for Win 7)

I suggest you search for the 'gta_sa.set' file on your hard disk. You need to copy the songs to the User Tracks folder located at wherever the set file is.

taking a stab in the dark here, but could a no-cd crack be doing this? say, if i were to revert back to the original .exe and just use the disc, it would fix the issue for me?

It really should. Do NEVER trust cracks to fix your game; furthermore, expect them to mess it up like it most probably did this time. Remove the crack, re-install the game and try again. Why are you using the crack anyway since you have the disc?

Although you shouldn't be messing with the original exe in the first place, this shouldn't really be the cause to your problem. The .exe file does not have to do with anything with using music in the game. In the User track options panel it says to place shortcuts of the music files. Have you tried placing a shortcut rather then posting the original mp3 file of the track?

Idk, they've always worked for me. and i use my disc drive for other things, and i like to keep the disc nice, idk, i know its not an excuse, more of a habbit

also, yes i did try using just shortcuts, nothing, ill just reinstall and see if it works then

well it works now, but it dosent seem to read my .b file confused.gif

The "crack" exe was V1 but the legit one was V2, but even if i set the snp site to cinvert it to V2 it still will not load

EDIT: got it to work, before the .b files were saved in the program files, but i found them.
