roundtheoutside
Console wars are pointless bullsh*t. GTA 4 was fine on both the Xbox ans PS3, although people complained it was dark on the PS3, which is fixable by adjusting the brightness. Durr... Anyway, GTA 5 is being made on both Xbox and PS3 at the same time. They will be equal. Now the PS3/Xbox fanboys and PC elitiest kids can stop complaining and comparing the game. well even if the consoles are the same, PC would be better anyway, since it runs at real 1080p
S1LV3R_W0LF
I think this time will have different treatment for all the platforms, so with that in mind I think XBox360 and PS3 will have their own versions, so they will perform equally good on both. I think Rockstar learned with their past mistakes and it's better to take time and effort to make things right for each platform instead of making it for one and then adapt it to others. At the end of things they might end up selling less then they could have if both were treated in the same way. Without getting into another useless console war, I have a friend who have both consoles and he was intending to buy GTAIV for both, but after checking both versions he decided to buy the Xbox360 version only and didn't bought PS3, according to him the performance wasn't as good and he said he didn't felt it was being used as it should. I don't know about that, but what I know is that Rockstar usually learns with the mistakes of the past, and this time won't be any different, so chillout and wait, away or another you know you'll buy it, so 1 fps more or less won't make any difference. roundtheoutside
not really an issue of fps, but resolution and anti aliasing.
Geralt of Rivia
I've pointed this out before, but Rockstar said that they were developing GTA V side-by-side for both consoles. That way each game will be able to take full advantage of the hardware. And if you ask me for a link, I will go ahead and tell you now that I don't have one. But I think I read that in the GI article. If it wasn't there, it was probably at IGN.com good sign for PS3 users is that the GTA:V Demo was running on PS3, devs usally show games on the most stable, better looking console, my opinion is that they are in the middle of getting the X360 version down to 3 discs, remember LA Noire, that was on 5-6 X360 disc before they managed to cut it down to 3 for release. That was because of the motion scan. Nothing more, nothing less
jumper2011
The screens provided by north have been all on PS3, but it should be just as good on 360. Thats not true. We only can assume that all the Screens so far are from one of the two consoles.
Sneakerhead.
Who cares? we all care. we want to buy the best looking version, not a blurry inferior one San Andreas looked like a freaking nintendo 64 game and that didn't stop it from being awesome. thats why I only played san andreas on PC PC version isn't much better visually, I should know, I have it. That was because of the motion scan. Nothing more, nothing less I agree. That motion scan technology took up and ungodly amount of space on the game discs. Because GTA V doesn't have that tech in it, I think they will split up the STORY onto two discs with the ENTIRE game world loaded up on each disc. That would work best. ForDaNords
It will have the same performance as Red Dead Redemption, albeit graphics not as good.

Showstopper 26
Wasn't your same thread locked/deleted yesterday? Your PlayStation avatar isn't fooling anyone. Performance will be great on both consoles.
Loves GTA
Who cares? we all care. we want to buy the best looking version, not a blurry inferior one San Andreas looked like a freaking nintendo 64 game. What? San Andreas STILL looks amazing. You must need your eyes checked if you think San Andreas looks good. Its graphics weren't anything special even back in 2004. Diesleman
Anyone who thinks the 360 is noticeably better than the ps3 is quite frankly full of sh*t. Plus ps3 games can store a lot more data than 360 if I'm not mistaken. At the end of the day if you care about the graphics that much ( which I don't see why you would ) theres only one choice, the pc version. Or wait for the new gen, it'll probably be released on that. Apex
If it looks anything like RDR on the Xbox I'm happy. But damn, I've been playing GTA IV on the PC for the last 2 years and I recently tried it out on the Xbox again and holy sh*t does it look terrible. Not to mention that traffic jams make the FPS go down to 10 if you crash into them.
Revolution-XW
The screens provided by north have been all on PS3, but it should be just as good on 360. This hasn't been confirmed. Stop speculating. The Demo was on a PS3 however the origins of the screens are unconfirmed. This. Plus, you seem to be getting the game on Xbox, why would you care? I believe it will be the same on both, really. And it doesn't really matter to me.

Its well known that its easier to develop for the 360 and many multiplats end up looking better on 360. But noticeably better? Like Gamecube to Xbox noticeably? Not really.
