billjin
Now, when i first get Grand Theft Auto 5, after crying for the first hour, and probably masturbate from excitement then cry again, i will install the game and begin to play. But here is a moment i think will be magical, and i think, well i know it will happen to at least some of us. We go online for the FIRST TIME. and you are spawned in a small town, you get used to how the controls work, you go upto the first car you see and enter it and start driving (crashing into everything by accident, new driving physics, yano) and you drive to the coast. Its a full server but the map is so huge, people are quite a distance away. You finally arrive at the beach and its sun set, you just walk upto the sea and just....silence. All you hear is the waves gently moving across the sand. The sky is dark orange as sun set begins, the sun glaring across the sea. Then all of a sudden, 5 fighter jets high up in the sky blast past, all you hear are the engines blast across the sky from each jet, realizing they are also players online, and knowing somewhere, something big is kicking off. I had to post this, but i think people are going off track with this game and forgetting what made gta great in the first place, those magic moments. Post yours! Coolstream
Yeah, that online experience is never ever going to happen to anyone in a public server. Most people are the fa**ots who go "Shoot to kill" on absolutely everyone in free-roam, that's the general experience and it's what most of you will experience the first time online. 123-bob
I think the most magical moment for me in any GTA is walking down the street past all the NPC's and hearing a random quote that makes me laugh out loud the way only GTA can One favorite is "I wonder what nationality bleeds the fastest?" YoungChrist
Best multiplayer moment for me in GTA was driving around Liberty City in a motorbike turning corners while a fully loaded helicopter shooting rockets at me tried to manuever in between buildings. Eventually I got to a subway station and chilled till he went away.
Marlo-Lionches
I usually go online after I have exlpored the full map and features of the game in single player, I don't like finding a cool place or start doing something cool then some f*cker shoot me and ruin it. I like to have my own magic moments, then start the multiplayer experience.
I Shot The Sheriff
First of all, I won't get used to the controls in multiplayer because I will play the story mode first, and from that I'll learn them. Secondly, the physics are updated but that doesn't mean you're gonna crash, unless it's your first f*cken videogame. My magic moments will be on single player, at least until I jump on MP after I beat the story still not knowing the map entirely. EDIT: sh*t I gotta admit multiplayer will be magic for the first time. Must... play... single... first... GlitzyTomb
I always just liked chases. Either trying to drive as fast as possible and pull off some slick maneuver to lose the guy behind me...or trying to follow as quick as possible while still leaving myself room to maneuver around his/her slick moves. Didn't much care for just killing each other nonstop. In fact, one of my favorite memories from GTA:IV was doing multiplayer, finding the offroad sections out there, and testing out how steep a hill you can climb. Drive straight up a wall then turn and park on a little ledge. Dumb, but fun.

Snake Without a Tongue
Waiting for the load screen to finish, hear whining kids before I even spawn, wish R* had borrowed more from RDR. Drag-assing through the MP missions for the first time is always good for a laugh.

Biggie Deaf
I remember in IV when I was shooting a RPG at a car and it skimmed the ground, went underneith the car and hit somebody behind the car that was shooting at me. He called me on the ingame cell phone (which the suprised the hell out of me) and asked how did I do that. Magic Moment...
5HT2a
I think R* is aware of the problems associated with the free-roam in GTAIV, and will implement a system where players are kicked after a certain amount of free-roam kills, say about 2 or 3. There will however be an option/mode that allows killing by certain means in free-roam without kicking players, so that those who love free-roam for those reasons will still be able to do so. That said, I believe multiplayer will be amazing in this game. I feel as though I have some idea where it is headed, where certain Crews or randomly assigned teams compete against each other and the police (also operated by other players, as a faction of it's own) to perform heists. Basically, I see a series of mini-games, where the criminals attempt to go after targets or perform recon missions associated with a particular heist, and the police attempt to catch them in action. After a certain number of tasks has been performed, the option of performing a particular heist becomes available, and the criminals may choose to perform said heist as soon as the option becomes available or they may choose to perform more mini-games in order to gain more perks for said heist (for example, some mini-games would offer better exits in order to avoid police, some would upgrade the weapons for the entire team, some would offer stealth perks for the mission to slow down police response time, etc..). In my vision, the entire map would be open, and it would be a very large server, let us say, 32- 64 players. There would be somewhere in the neighborhood of 6-8 heist targets spread across the map, preventing players on the police side from simply camping out in front of the only target. They would literally have to patrol the streets looking for criminals who are performing mini-game tasks, and attempt to prevent them from completing said tasks. Police and criminals would be penalized for killing each other outside of mini-games, except in the case of Vendettas, the mechanics of which would work similarly to those Vendettas in Max Payne 3. Anyways, I've had this idea since R* said they planned to truly revolutionize open-world multiplayer, and I believe it could actually come to pass. Its success would be dependent upon how well the game rewards players for aiding their team in performing tasks, and how effectively they punish those who attempt to troll or play selfishly. That said, I never play multiplayer until I have completed the singleplayer campaign. I, too, feel it spoils the singleplayer to an extent. vince91
i'll play some single player first because i don't feel like dieing 20 times before escaping the usual public server ass-parade. then i'll go roadkill the first person who shoots at me for no reason. with a fighter jet. until he rage-quits. japse123
i think its obvious that the free roam will have some kind of faction system (police, gangster, robbers and so on) Rockstar have said that multiplayer will be revulotionary and I dont think that means more game mode slike capture the flag bla bla bla. Free roam is going to be awsome
billjin
Another one, You are shooting people up in free roam, all 14 people are fighting you in one way or another, then some dude pulls up in a hydra, opens his doors and lets you in Battle countless, you both almost die countless times, the hydra is damaged, the fight is won You get out, and he blasts off into the distance. Respect.
