Neudd Posted January 17, 2013 Share Posted January 17, 2013 Okay so we all know that in pretty much every GTA the protag starts off broke - and with there being three protags now, and with Michael living in a mansion going broke, here's how I think they will all end up broke leading them to get together. Michael - he's got everything he needs already, but is goingbrokenbecause of his bitch of a wife. Franklin - in the trailer we see him and his supposed to be girlfriend arguing in what seems to be a nice looking house, I think that's his girlfriends house who he lives with. I think that because of that argument in the trailer that she's going to kick him out resulting in him living in a not so good apartment, with little money. Trevor - well he's just a broke ass crack head. Now, with all of them being broke - we start out as Michael in his house (GI preview) and all that happens blah blah. Anyway, he goes down to the beach where he sees franklin and lemar steal the car, and starts thinking about getting back into that business, and as he knows Trevor already he can call him up - all he needs to do is bump into franklin again and bam, all three protags are now usable. My thinking is with three characters we'll get a broad spectrum of rich, okay, and poor. Michael's rich - Franklin's doing okay - and Trevor's a dirt poor redneck hill billy white trash motherf*cker. Michael wants to get back into the game because he's bored, he takes Franklin under his wing, and Trevor's his friend. That's how it goes down. Maybe he goes to that beach to think about where his life is going, and once he sees Franklin stealing the car, he starts to think more and more of, "the old days." Then he raises the question to Trevor, " How about one more run? Let's get back in the game!" So now Trevor is in on it, and Michael tries to contact Franklin because Michael realizes that he needs a younger guy, and sees a lot of himself in Franklin. Oh. My. God. Sure he looks it, but so does any junkie.He runs a drug and weapon empire, That's bound to be good money. It could be possible he's doing more than he's selling, which would put him in a spot.I wonder if he's running it from source to source, or manufacturing it himself....Either way, it's going to be quite a bit of money. I could see Micheal's wife n' kids spending his money, so that makes sense. Franklin shouldn't be hurting too bad himself. He has a legit job and he hustles on the side. My guess is that that economy is scalable so that Michel will be spending a lot of money compared to the rest. Like it would cost $10 bucks to get a burger for Michel while it might only cost $1 for Trevor. Something along those lines. poiuytrew Posted January 17, 2013 Share Posted January 17, 2013 i think the current financial climate would be a much more likely source of michael's troubles than his wife, i could see his wife making matters worse while he tries to make ends meet after a sudden loss of capital, but realistically, you don't get a house like that without a fortune that would be very hard to put a dint in via shopping sprees, as for franklin, i'd say he'd have a fairly regular income, but still, i can't honestly speak about how much capital he'd have, as for trevor, well, he does seem to be a crime boss of sorts, it honestly wouldn't surprise me if he had the most starting cash of any of the characters, i doubt he'd use bank accounts, so he'd probably have all of his money readily available Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

The whole thing I feel like many of you are missing is that these guys are working for themselves. Atleast we haven't been led to believe anything else. They don't need to all be broke, Michael is bored with his new life, Trevor as stated is probably just getting by selling drugs. Possibly because of the recession Franklin gets laid off and his only option becomes to join Michael and Franklin.
