It's people like you who bring a bad image on the News Wire, there's this batch of people who think ROCKSTARGAMES.COM is ONLYTALKABOUTGTA5.COM and get angry whenever Rockstar post something NOT GTA V related, I mean hell, we even have people complaining when they post Vice City stuff! some of us DO like this insight side of things of you!

I like most of the things. But I'm not really interested into MP3. But I don't get mad when it's GTA V related. What's the point in that, lol?

Snake Without a Tongue

I gotta agree with the Max Payne haters. It was painful watching them trying to promote MP3 after announcing GTAV. I'm sure run and gun multiplayer maps are fun for a lot of people, but how excited could you be?

I have no idea how anybody could come to the conclusion that Max Payne 3 is the reason why Rockstar talks not much about GTA V. Last year Rockstar Games promoted L.A. Noire and the DLCs of Red Dead Redemption at the same time without a problem so why should it be any different with Max Payne 3 DLCs and GTA V? The simple answer for this question is that MP3 is not the reason for how Rockstar handles things when it comes to news for their biggest title yet, GTA V. Dan Houser stated multiple times that they try to surprise us and Rockstar in general told us about it multiple times on the newswire. Just to show some sources:

In this rare interview, Houser outlines how the company makes its decisions -- from booting Max Payne into the future to deciding not to give players much of a window into its games prior to their release. He also discusses lessons learned from Red Dead Redemption and the creative bible for the Grand Theft Auto series.

We made a promise not to talk too much about forthcoming games until a little further down the track but, yes, crews will feature in Grand Theft Auto V multiplayer.

“Why don’t you give us more news?”received via Mouthoff

As we have said before, we have often had long gaps between asset releases on previous games and will continue to do so in the future. We are sorry if you find this frustrating, but please understand, we don’t do this because we ‘don’t care about our fans' 'don’t respect our fans’ 'hate GTA fans etc' – precisely the opposite! We do it because we want to make sure we only release 100% correct information, and because we want to keep plenty back for the actual game release so there are still lots of surprises when you play it. The only things we care about are that you enjoy the experience of actually playing the game and that we release accurate information.

I think we will probably get another trailer in late february with a release date either at the end or shortly after it.

That late? A release date would be perfect with the box art.

It's actually called "Deathmatch Made in Heaven", nice to see you get angry at the article yet you didn't bother to even read the title properly!

The reason why red dead and LA Noire both get news at the same time, becuase they both are new to rockstar games. Gta is there popular successful game and It will sell no matter what, not so much about Max Payne. You probley may not want hear this, but not many people heard of max Payne, so they have soley focus on mp first to get many sales and attract more fans and if they talk about gta along with mp more people would want gta becuase of larger fan base and popularity due to history. Sorry my dude but if r* release gta a few month early than mp. Gta will OWN mp in sales Im mean look at all the hype around gta.

Max Payne 3 had nothing to do with GTA 5.

Made by different Rockstar studios. suicidal.gif

All these haters should actually PLAY MP3 and then judge it.

Seriously, it's a near perfect game.

I get that not everyone can appreciate Max Payne 3 and had grown tired of it's marketing but to Log onto the Publishers site and expect them to give up on it too is just plain ignorant no matter how you look at it.

OT:Some of you fail to realize that R* North(although they did help with little developement) didn't even develope MP3... Max Payne 3 was a great game overall, multiplayer on the other hand....

The Multiplayer aspect is revolutionairy, in multiple ways, but all you little philistines can't even see the genius behind it because there's nothing GTA-related to be found....

PEOPLE....*hisses*

Seriously Max Payne does not have anything with the lack of info.

Given the fact that Rockstar's marketing team only focus primarily on one game at a time, and that game was Max Payne 3 up until now, Max Payne 3 would of had considerable impact on the overall lack of information relating to GTA V.

With that being said, even though Max Payne 3's focus is now beginning to subside, I still wouldn't expect a whole lot of new information relating to GTA V other then what we already know, and perhaps details relating to multiplayer when we get closer to release. Rockstar themselves, though, have stated that they are intending to keep quiet on a lot of the specific details relating to GTA V right up until its release as they want us to discover what the game has to offer for ourselves.

Remember also that GTA as a series sells itself without the need to market the game heavily and GTA V will definitely be no exception to this. Heck, if all Rockstar was did, up until release, is publish artwork or a few screenshots just every week or so - that would be enough to ensure GTA V sells a crapload.
