Racecarlock Posted January 17, 2013 Share Posted January 17, 2013 Mafia II was one of the greatest games I ever played,the cars,the graphics ,the realism ,the petrol bunk,the speed limit and police laws (which were realistic) and of course robbing stores.It had features which any GTA Game didn't have. But if it just had free roam after game I would have been very happy.There is the free ride mod in which you can free roam after game but it is only for PC though. I find it hard to compare a game released in 2010,to a game (which has not yet released) releasing in 2013.(Especially a comparing with a GTA game on a GTA Forum) Get the DLC episodes. Stripes1981 Posted January 17, 2013 Share Posted January 17, 2013 I think I liked it so much because open-world third person sandbox games can be so rare these days especially with the time-period they set it in and I hate sh*t like Saints Row because they go to far with the sillyness imo. hitman_for_hire Posted January 17, 2013 Share Posted January 17, 2013 Mafia 1 was amazing for its day but 2 was a big letdown the story was too short and the movement was crappy. Mafia 2 had a well put together story though i liked how you were the actual hitman to kill tommy. I was just a kid when i played mafia 1 so i was shocked to see that the story was connected but then it all ended so quick it was a big letdown for me lol. Also the graphics are awful on the PS3 version of Mafia cause 2K were too lazy to try and port it properly. Mafia 2 has an awesome story, setting, characters and driving/shooting mechanics. I was only dissappointed by the length and lack of 'proper' freeroam.
