T0X1C Posted January 16, 2013 Share Posted January 16, 2013 I've noticed a lot of people talking about the possibility of camping/taking an RV and going on a roadtrip. Both are extremely attractive activities in a game with, seemingly, such a great countryside and desert area. What if you were able to save game in an RV and basically use it as both a vehicle and safehouse? It would be awesome to be able to, essentially, live wherever you want in the game. You could park at the top of Mount Chilliad, in the desert, on the beach, anywhere you like. Then whenever you load the game you start in your RV in that location. Apart from the awesome areas you could save in, it would be convenient. You could park across the road from a boss eliminating the need for a long drive to save your game after completing a mission. It would also be convenient if you have to save immediately and you're miles away from your main safehouse. A possible way to make this work would be to have an icon on the map showing the location of your RV at all times. If your RV gets destroyed you have to buy a new 1 from a dealership/off the in-game internet. This would be one of the ways to spend your money in the game, you could choose from a cheap, tiny cr*pshack to an expensive,luxurious RV the size of 2 buses. Just more options than just a safehouse somewhere. Probably never happen though unless people like some of us here at the forums start making open-world games. Thanks mate I wouldn't want it to be a Trevor exclusive but I'm sure through the story Trevor will get rich. All GTA protagonists do. You dont have to be a certain race or have a certain amount of money. I doubt it'll happen this time, but its something possible for the future. U could go camping in the woods and there would be some hippy's dancing round a camp fire at night and u would smoke spliffs with them and eat shrooms and after that u would trip balls and be like woOOou duude, pass out and wake up in the middle of the desert all confused and all wtf. after that u would find native american's and spend the night with them smoking some of their fine herbs and trip balls 2000, walk to the desert and see all types of crazy sh*t and meet Mushiff the grate dolphin warrior and find the animal inside u. this would all be done playing as Michael. If we don't get a safehouse that moves, at least give us a nice RV, one with an interior to hide out in. Such things is what I've been craving in a GTA. The ability to drive this huge RV everywhere and then just stop anywhere(side of road, parking lot of Up-n-Atom, in the woods, on a hill/mountain, near a lake in the woods, etc.) and roam around in an RV that has TV, internet, etc would just really 'blow the socks' off me. It's just crazy, I hope R* thought about it and added it, but again I seriously doubt it. If only R* looked a little deeper into what their fans want... In IV you could call a cab, set a destination and boom you'd be there within 5 seconds. How could Rockstar create a similar fast travel system in that era where you wouldn't find many if any cabs in the wilderness. The camping system was implemented to get you from point A to point B just like GTA games do with taxis. We won't be seeing the camping site return. But it would be my absolute highlight of GTAV if we can take an RV/camper around for a cruise, then pull over and sleep (save game) at any location, sort of the equivalent of RDR when you make a campfire.
