I can't believe they just copied and pasted weapons in this game from Vice City.

 

The Desert Eagle for example is the exact same model and texture as the Desert Eagle that Lance shoots Diaz with in Vice City. The 9mm is the exact same as well, and the tec-9 too I believe. There are more then just these too.

 

I mean, they didn't even try. Could they at least have tried to make them a bit better looking?

 

I love San Andreas and all, but most of the weapons look horrendous, with the Desert Eagle probably taking first prize in ugliest gun in the game.

You can mod them if you want to!

Also why the AK-47 is SO FREAKING BIG?

I personally don't mind the look of the weapons. They perform well, and that's what's important.

I can't believe they just copied and pasted weapons in this game from Vice City.

 

Why not? A programmer can save hundreds of hours of perfecting an item or scene by boiler plating code into a new project.

I don't give a sh*t about code. If the weapons worked well then paste that code for all I give a f*ck.

 

What I'm talking about is graphics, models and textures. If you're gonna release a new game after two years and they still use the same crappy old textures and models from the game from two years ago, then that's a bad thing.

I expect Rockstar to do better then Modern Warfare.

If they made everything from scratch again, I'm pretty sure SA wouldn't be around by 2004.

Isn't it a little late to start bitching about this? Maybe you should have piped up nine years ago when it was a little more relevant.

No-one complained about it for 8 years, so I guess R* did the right thing.

 

I can't care less about the gun models, I never even see them, unless its a machine gun or bazooka, anything big.

 

When the game came out I was still playing on 1024*768 resolution, if they changed the model or texture it wouldn't make a noticable difference anyway.

With the size of San Andreas and the amount of things you can do in the game I honestly can't see how you could care about something as small as a gun being the same as it was in a previous game.

 

I know that makes me sound like an SA fanboy, but if anything I'm a IV fanboy so I wouldn't blindly say that.
