Peds run away of weapon and a small cop fix

This mod fix some "bugs" of peds and cop A.I. smile.gif

 

Fixes:

* Peds run away if they see you with a gun;

* Gangsters shoot you if they see you with a gun;

* Police shoot gangsters who have guns;

* You gain 2 wanted levels if a cop sees you with a weapon.

 

 

You need CLEO Library and gta_sa.exe U.S. 1.0 for the mod work

Is this all peds that aren't defined in GANGS or CRIMINAL pedgrps? (as well as police, fbi, military etc).

 

* Gangsters shoot you if they see you with a gun;

Would this include gangsters in cars? Will they try and drive-by you?

 

* Police shoot gangsters who have guns;

What if you are shooting gangsters, and they are shooting back. Who does the cop go for ?

 

* You gain 2 wanted levels if a cop sees you with a weapon.

Is it compatible with this mod here.

 

Maybe make a 'witness' feature. Like the peds that run away if they see you with a gun .. maybe one of them 'good citizens' gets on their cellphone if they are a safe distance from CJ, and rings the cops, who are directed to the area you are seen with the gun. Same goes for car-jacking, and other 'illegal' actions.

I forgot to put the function to gangsters in cars do drive-by, the next version I do that, thanks for the tip. smile.gif

 

 

What if you are shooting gangsters, and they are shooting back. Who does the cop go for ?

 

Some cops go for gangsters and others go for you.

The more I think about it, I probably will just post it in here. Will add to conversation, then we can bounce ideas off each other, and other members can chime in as well.

 

The more heads, the better.

 

So far I have the following ..

 

+ Undercover Cops

Maybe there is a chance (30%?) that a select few peds (based on ID) could be an undercover cop.

 

+ Taser

I'm sure I've seen a model around for a taser. I will do a search tonight.

I really don't like the fact that cops try and beat you to death, or start shooting at you; instead of trying to arrest you.

I guess its that American mentality of shoot first, ask questions later

 

+ Shooting forward on motorbike like cops do.

Self explanatory

 

+ Cops spawning

This one is probably a bit tricky, and doesn't just relate to cops, but the whole spawning system in general.

You know how you look in one direction, and there are no peds/vehicles, and then look away for a second, then look back, and all of a sudden the screen is full of peds/vehicles that magically appeared from no where? Its a bit hard to commit a crime, and get away with it with this problem. Don't know if you can do anything to fix this problem though.

I do have a CLEO that extends the draw distance of peds/vehicles, that makes them spawn from further away. It doesn't fix the problem, but makes it slightly less annoying.

 

I know the following has been done before, but you might want to include it/them ( I think den_spb created the bottom two, and zyonig did the speed limit )

- Speed limit. Example: 60km/h in cities. 50km/h in villages. 100km/h on highways.

- Driving through red lights

- Driving on wrong side of the road

Does this include if you are in a vehicle? Because by default, if CJ has a weapon, he is holding it while he is driving. (SMG's etc)

I have seen on one of the BMS blogs, a CLEO to 'hide' the weapons while CJ is driving. Can't remember author though, I presume its either you Link2012 or Junior.

I do not like it. I think I can do the cops arrest rather than kill (there is already a mod for that, right? So I think I can do something like this my mod)

Should not be too hard to do that.

If I put something similar, I'll make the code from scratch (I think it's a little hard to do, but I'll try), do not want to take things from others whatsthat.gif

If you are inside the car, only get the wanted level when is below 36Km/h

Well i like all ideas, it would be awsome, except this one:

or you could make a few .cs files for each feature and it would be easier to fix bugs (if they have).

or you could make a few .cs files for each feature and it would be easier to fix bugs (if they have).

 

All these functions will be difficult to put in only one .cs

right, and we could select which feature we want to use, like i don't like speed limit and i will not put the .cs file for speed limit.

sorry for bumping an old thread, but Fabio are still working on this mod? I think that if the player gets a wanted level for carrying a gun in the open same should apply for gang members, I mean it would be great if they had their gats hidden. I`ve noticed that some of them have it that way, for example when rivals ask CJ where he`s from, and you reply with GSF, they often pull their gun. This also happens when some shootout occurs, but it only works with 9mm pistol, and some of the gangs do have other weapons, e.g. Ballas have micro uzis (of course it can be adjusted by a cleo script)
