Also, keep in mind Dan Housers interview where he compared it to movies and how the least you know about the actors in the movie or the storyline in general, the more fun it is. I don't think so, I guess they are going to announce the release date before this month ends, with a release date by mid-late April (April 23 is my guess).  Honestly, I can´t see any worrisome signal. I think that the plan is to make a powerful final stretch, with a lot of previews, screenshots, box art, the new website...starting three months or so before the release date. On one hand that's nothing to worry about cause Rockstar did say they wouldn't reveal incredibly much and thus keep plenty back. On the other hand....it's a first time for them that they do that, any game of theirs received buckets of coverage. Lots of different previews from websites and what not. I guess we'll be getting those in the upcoming weeks/months then. The upcoming weeks/months should have some pretty interesting things for us....like the inevitable collector edition announcement and what not. Â Anyways OP. I'm not too worried, no news at this stage is fine. People are still coming back from holiday etc etc When Feb gets established, then, we shall see another out pour from Rockstar. Please, you're scaring me  I agree with the spirit of the OP; we just don't know what to think with this cockeyed GATV marketing campaign. We were so happy after Trailer #1, then over time in 2012 we fell into a deep abyss of disillusionment. Then the second wave of info pumped us op. So the question is, what is happening now? Is the glass half full? Or is it the start of another drought? We are starting to feel off-balance again and that is worrisome. I have no concern about the ultimate quality of the game, but I don't want another genius marketing info-drought. I still haven't forgiven them for the last payne-ful experience. If GTA V releases in May like most of you feel it will, rockstar still has 3 1/2 months to market the sh*t of of GTA V. January we get the box art. Shortly after that you can bet things will be in full swing. Release date, new screens, interviews, another trailer perhaps, and a whole mess of previews. Rockstar still has to reveal the multiplayer and if Max Payne and the new crew system is an indication of anything it's that multiplayer is no longer an after thought. Â They really need to sell alot of people(not us of course) on GTA V's multiplayer. And you can bet that there will be a crazy amount of detail put into the multiplayer modes as with anything they do. Â They also still need to give a series of HANDS ON previews to multiple magazines and websites. That alone will be an amazing amount of info. Last preview was a very controlled display. But hands on is much more dynamic and we will be able to hear a wide range of different experiences even on the same preview. (remember the editor that shot the heli tour pilot and stole the chopper for the IV preview) Â And not to mention the GTA V website. I'm sure that there will be video clips and possibly a map much like the GTA IV website. Â So the way I see it is they will begin with the info after the box art reveal, which leaves us with three months. Three months of jam packed info. Our heads are probably gonna explode. Sure that's still a few months away from now, but aside from the cover story and the few previews, we know so very little. Don't get me wrong, personally i prefer that, not knowing a whole lot about this game, i much prefer having to find it out all by myself while exploring. But i do remember that GTA IV and pretty much any Rockstar game that released after that received a sh*tload of coverage. Take for example radio stations and the songs that will be on it...except for Radar Love and the Nightride FM station we don't know much else. Then again....it was March in 2008 when they revealed them for GTA IV at the time, so i guess this is not much of a concern. Still, shouldn't we be seeing more marketing by now? You know..those big ass posters on skyscrapers? I'm probably worrying about nothing, cause we ARE getting the box-art reveal this month and that should hopefully mean the start of a bit more marketing. It's clear though that there was a whole lot more coverage and marketing for GTA IV compared to GTA V so far and i don't know..i guess i find that a bit worrisome. This is their biggest and most ambitious GTA yet, i guess you'd expect to see a bit more coverage on it. Unless Rockstar is simply staying true to what they said..about keeping plenty of information back.  Look at the amount of coverage RDR, LA Noire and MP3 received, it was A LOT! Just like ya'll i'm so looking forward to this game, so much more than any other goddammn game this year, i just don't want any negative news regarding a release. I think with the box art release, and whatever else they dish out along with it, a whole month could be a huge amount of time for more marketing. I don't like how people speak badly of Rockstar as if they know they won't give us anything by their prediction. Just wait and see, then judge.. Â IV's release date was announced at the end of Janaury 2008. GTA does not need the marketing of RDR LAN, or MP3. Preorders are already at or around a half million copies with no release date.
