MythicalNomad Posted January 15, 2013 Share Posted January 15, 2013 Hey guys, now I know the title makes it out like I'm saying Michael & Trevor should hate it each other, but I didn't mean it like that. I realize they were supposed to be friends from the past, doing bank robberies together and whatnot, but they're so different to each other. Trevor happens to live in a Caravan/Shack (from what I can remember from the GI Article), and Michael's most likely a millionaire. Why, if they were such good friends, has Michael not helped him out? Trevor's supposedly addicted to Meth and whatnot, yet Michael seems to be living the high-life. I just figured that if they were such good friends, Michael would be more supportive towards Trevor. Perhaps Trevor doesn't want to change? Maybe living away from the city-life/attention of the law is exactly the lifestyle he wants to lead. What are your opinions? Maybe not Meth specifically, but it does say in the GI article that he's the type of guy who doesn't want to stop taking drugs. Also, I guess that's the answer to OP's question, Trevor doesn't want to go straight, he wants to be the asshole, the bad guy. GR7 Posted January 15, 2013 Share Posted January 15, 2013 They were friends but not to the point where they regularly keep in contact I think their friendship was mostly based on business and when Michael starts forming a crew that's probably the first time he's got back in contact with Trevor since their old bank robbery days. What are you like twelve? If you had cared to actually read my post, I mentioned that maybe Trevor doesn't want to change. I may have been wrong about the meth thing, I remember reading it somewhere. Pretty sure it's been brought up on the forums before. As for the whole lifestyle difference not making them friends, that wasn't my intention to word it like that. Of course they can still be friends, I just wasn't aware whether Michael had even attempted to help Trevor. Aren't they brought back together by something other than just simply "Hey, wanna rob banks together?". There's got to be more behind it than that. I suppose I just found it a little weird that people from such opposing ends of the spectrum would consider each other best friends. That's not me being narrow-minded, just their lifestyles are completely different. Maybe once upon a time they weren't. Trevor being ex-military, Michael knowing his way around a bank, could've just as well been in the military too. Michael does state that Trevor is his best friend in the second Trailer. Then again, I'm sure a man who's been put into witness protection probably doesn't have that many friends, if any. Potentially on purpose, at least for a time. I'm almost certain it says somewhere Trevor is a speed addict. Ok, the GI article says, "Frequent drug user". Considering he deals crank, why is so hard to believe he hits the scante? How could he? The guy snitched on people in order to escape prosecution. A snitch, by definition, has no sense of loyalty and probably very little concept of true friendship.
