Red dead redemption vs. gta v

Ok I'm new to here and this is my first topic.

I would like to ask a couple of questions

First I would like to,say that I think rdr is the best game rockstar has ever made.

Let me explain why.

First reason is the graphics are amzing. The desert almost looks real. And the mountains are very nice to.

Another reason is the npcs were very smart, they actually have jobs and routines they don't do the same thing over and over. The npcs would even commit crimes. Sometimes kill.

Another reason is the dynamic missions. Like side quests and bounty targets. And little things like helping to stop a crime. The world in red dead felt real. There was gang hideouts and stuff like that too.

Another reason is the wide variety of animals. There were so many different types of animals in this game I can't even think of them all.

There wasn't just dogs. There were different types of dogs etc. there were different Types of every animal.

The story and missions were really good to.

So here's my questions.

1. Do you think gta v will have better graphics than rdr.

2. Do you think there will be side quests and dynamic missions?

3. Do you think the npcs will be smart

4. Do you think the npcs will commit crimes and commit murder

5. Do you think that gta v will have more animals in the game than rdr.

6. Do you think the missions and story will be better in gta v?

Remember rdr was a very very good game

They done a great job on it.

Just take that into consideration

Yes, Rockstar already confirmed there will be dynamic missions and unique world events in GTAV smile.gif.

They made RDR really feel alive and it'd be nice to have those kind of things in V.

Questions

1.Yes R* said graphics and draw distance will be improved take a look at some screenshot and u will see.

2. Yes R* confirm it at GI Demo

3. Yes they will be smart I'm sure about it. They will improved the NPC AI.

4. I think they will besides R* already confirm that they put what they learned on RDR.

5. Not sure about it. But there's a sea creatures like shark

6. I think it will better than IV and RDR.

I think mostly everything we saw R* improve upon with their RAGE system in RDR will be seen in V as well.

Improved animations, sharper graphics, more solid feel to walking/running, tighter aiming system, improved physics and object detection and most definitely a more alive world.

I think the difference between IV and V are going to be amazing. Just with what they pulled off with RDR proves it imo.. and even though RDR's dated a couple years now it still amazes me at how good it looks everytime I play it.

RDR is mostly desert and a few isolated towns with buildings 2 /3 stories high. Graphically its not taxing a console.

GTA V on the other hand will have at least one MAJOR city, with sky scapers and a thriving community of 100s of NPCs doing their own thing. The map will be several tmes larger than RDRs map. Is there any real comparison at all?

RDR was a breath of fresh air of all these city sandboxes, I love it. I hope V is as beautiful as RDR but I don't know

Firstly to compare isn't fair, diffrent maps, times and weapons.

Also let's wait and see the game for ourselves then decide but regardless both games judging on what information I have are great and to compare them is like picking your favourite child

But not to the level as whats been predicted for GTA V. Plus the map will be several times bigger and Los Santos being a major city there will be much more activity at street level. Plus you may be controlling 3 (or 4) characters at any one time.

Still you have to give rdr credit it was great

I love RDR, though I prefer IV... so obviously I think V is going to be better than RDR.

Is RDR technically a better piece of software and overall better package than IV? It's hard to deny. The dynamic events, the wildlife, the free roam MP.... all huge breakthroughs for R*. However, for me, as great as the western setting is, I don't really sit around fantasizing about being a cowboy. I do enjoy the romantic ideal of the outlaw that is a major theme of RDR, but I fantasize about being an outlaw in my time. In IV, I got to be an immigrant hit man/car thief making a life in post-911 NYC. In V, I get to be a whole crew of professional thieves pulling off a string of heists throughout a recessionary Southern California. With GTA, I get to be an outlaw in a relatable setting that I can actually gauge the authenticity of. There's just something to the modern urban setting: the radio, the internet, the phone... it feels like the real world.

That said, I believe V will be an even better package than RDR as a video game (more features, better MP, etc.), while also having the broader appeal that a modern crime game will always have over a western-themed game. So yes, as much as I love RDR, for me, the top 3 games this gen will be V>IV>RDR.

i think red dead will only have more animals than V, and V will have equal or better graphics than rdr, and we still dont know how good story in V will be, but it has great potential

Red Dead Redemption was quite amazing except for the fact that John Marston gets shot dead in the end

I Like IV better than RDR. i like RDR too but i can never be 100% comfortable with the running/aiming/shooting settings in RDR, as in GTAIV everything feels good..

SO i hope the running/shooting(aiming will be very same as GTAIV!

and the funny in GTAV will be the random things that will happen. drive out in the desert and you suddenly come across a car with a dead body in. cool.gif

Bluepolitician

GTA V LEARNED FROM MAX PAYNE 3 AND RED DEAD. BOTH OF THOSE GAMES HAVE FEATURES THAT WILL BE IN V. LIKE BETTER GORE AND GUN SOUNDS. AND TAKING HOSTAGES.

1. Equal or better.

2. Already confirmed.

3. It would make sense.

4. Hopefullyyyyy, this is something I've always wanted to see in GTA. Feels like I'm the only criminal outside of story missions/vigilante missions.

5. Nope. One of Redemption's coolest draws were the wildlife which really went well with the Western genre. Putting more animals on V would be a middle finger for Redemption.

6. Nope. Hard to beat a good Western.

1. equal

2. yes

3. not as smart as RDR, but close

4. maybe

5. not more, but many and probably new ones.

6. better missions, but hard to be RDR's story ending.

Shouldn't you post that as a spoiler?

Anyway, the ending did evoke a lot of emotions and imo was excellent and unpredictable. However, Jack Marston sucks and is one ugly mofo.
