Voit Turyv
I got a legitimate copy of SA and I've come across some problems: 1. Mouse doesn't work. It can be moved but I can't click anything in the menu and it doesn't move in gameplay. 2. When I use Fraps to capture a screenshot, the game has a little lag (when it is set to be compatible with Win98/ME). 3. Whenever I use the compatibility mode the game creates the whole new "GTA SA User Files" folder. It means that I have to move save files from one to another folder. 4. Again, with the compatibility mode the game omits intro screens, only sound remains. I use Windows 7, 64 bit, no mods at all.
MrMateczko
Download this to fix your mouse problem: http://www.sendspace.com/file/pixyef Paste all the files into the game's folder.
lil weasel
Fraps is a problem with the memory of your system you don't have enough. Video/Graphics card? How much Dedicated graphics memory? Or is it shared? Processor? RAM (random access memory)? Running the Game in W98 mode should cure the Mouse problem. You shouldn't need to go back and forth. Are you playing with the DVD in the drive? Voit Turyv
It's: - AMD Radeon HD 7800 Series - 4 GB RAM - Intel Core i5-2400 @ 3.10 GHz No idea for dedicated/shared graphics memory. Running in Win98 indeed cured the problem but it also created me a new GTA SA User Files catalogue. No cracks used, just the DVD in the drive. lil weasel
"created me a new GTA SA User Files catalogue." Not to worry as long as you have the mouse fixed.
Voit Turyv
OT, but I have a question as well: is SA v2 impossibru to mod at all?
MrMateczko
It's not impossible, but not worth the trouble, as it's MUCH easier, and straightforward to mod the v1. Plus, MANY mond DO NOT work with v2.
