The uploader has more videos here. I know this isn't directly related to GTAV, but given that these games aim to simulate the real world to some extent, it gives us some feel for these LA-style police chases. It would be cool if you sometimes see these kind of random police chases in the game. GTA: San Andreas had some of it, but nothing to this scale. But seriously, I'd like to see pretty fast paced police chases with NPC's in V. SWAT repelling down into a pedestrians house? I think so.. Adriaan Posted January 15, 2013 Author Share Posted January 15, 2013 (edited) I remember that eerie feeling in San Andreas when, at night, police helicopters would fly over you and shine their light in your direction. Just think of hearing that distant sirens, helicopter flying over, as a chase comes closer to you. Then, of course, as the criminals get out of their car and make a run for it - as police dogs chase after them. Awesome vibe. EDIT: Just realized we probably saw a glimpse of these random police chases near the end of Trailer #1, with the guy running away . I would love to see random police chases throughout the streets of Los Santos, or hear them in the distance. It would certainly add to the whole vibe of the city to hear police sirens in the distance getting louder as they come closer to you and getting quieter as they head away from you; seeing a police helicopter flying overhead towards the scene of the chase and the distant shouting of police officers and the helicopter co-pilot announcing over the megaphone for the suspect to stop, hearing the barking of dogs in the distance and the screams of terrified citizens. In GTA: San Andreas, you could also hear gunshots in the distance when you were in Los Santos - which is another thing that would be cool to see (or better yet "hear") in GTA V and I hope that this sort of a system is implemented. Is this confirmed? That would be really awesome. I also recommend to watch the movie "End of watch". Great storyline and it gives you a really intense taste of the South-Central vibe. It did have frequent cop chases on the freeways, pretty interesting to follow. I wish GTA V would have this but more organized. It wouldn't be LA without them classic chases. Cannot wait to go to the observatory at night just to look at all of the lights. I wish R* gave us more night shots. Daytime is getting boring and the sunsets look a little meh like many other games. I really hope that random police chases return. They happened every now and again in SA and it was fun to watch the cops usually fail at catching the criminal(s).
