lil weasel
"Windows 8 operating system will allow users to play Xbox 360 games on their PCs." Any truth to that? And, what's the deal with the many complaints I've been reading that Win 8 won't play some games. Is it designed to make obsolete the 'newer' games, as Win 7 killed the DOS games? And, what's the deal with the many complaints I've been reading that Win 8 won't play some games. Is it designed to make obsolete the 'newer' games, as Win 7 killed the DOS games? There are 29 Microsoft titles released in the Windows 8 store that were originally 360 games, buy the idea of playing any 360 game you fancy on Win8 is a two-year-old rumor. As for compatibility, some have issues but no more than earlier versions of Windows. Compatibility mode is your friend. Jewstinian
I doubt that will be the case. The games were optimized for the XBOX and not for a computer. We'll see what happens. I still wish Red Dead Redemption came to the PC, maybe this will be an opportunity to play it.
Stinky12
There is RDR in Win8 game store along with Play on Xbox 360 link. I clicked on that and it says connecting to Xbox, but I don't have one, so I don't know if it works or not. Anyone want to try it out with Win8 also needs to install the Xbox Smartglass app.

yoječ
You can always play DOS games via DOSBox, I can't see why it would be an issue.
