Honestly I'm not. Like GTA V looks amazing, looks way better then IV. But back when I was waiting for IV I was thinking about it from the time I woke till I went to bed. Hell, I even dreamed about it for months before it was actually released. It was kind of like being high for months on end waiting for IV couldn't focus in school my grades dropped a bunch. Now V is almost on our doorstep and I am hardly phased of its existence unless I am on the computer. How about you guys?

I'd say the same or if not, even slightly less (but yet, still excited). The reason being is that GTA IV was more a huge jump from the GTA III-era, and the lead-up to its release had me very hyped for its release to see what Rockstar had in store. GTA V isn't as big of a jump from GTA IV as GTA IV was from the GTA III-era in terms of visual appeal and thus, doesn't have me quite as hyped.

I will probably be more excited for GTA V when/if more gameplay details are revealed before its release.

i'm excited for V mostly because SA was my favorite GTA. IV wasn't that great for me.don't get me wrong, it was fun but not as fun as being back in Los Santos.

I was more exited for IV, but that was because I had very high expectations after playing San Andreas.

This time around, I don't really mind. I'll definitely get a copy of V, but I won't play it before completing Woodcutter Simulator 2013.

IV: a whole completely new take on GTA on a next gen console, I was over the moon.

V: this gen console and pushing everything to the limits.

My excitement is the same: EXPLOSIVE!!!!

Back when IV was coming out, I was excited because I love GTA games but I wasn't as into it as I am now. I didn't visit forums or keep up to date on every little piece of information. I wouldn't even know it was coming out until adverts got my attention.

I spent hours wandering about my city looking for somewhere that still had it in stock. Never pre ordered it. Was all excited, played through it and over the years I only ever loaded it up to cause trouble now and then. Never really enjoyed IV like I did with III/VC/San Andreas. Not saying it was a bad game, I just never really got into it.

With V, the excitement is just a hundred times bigger. After my disappointment with IV I started looking for pieces of info on the next game as early as ~2009. That was about the time I got IV's DLC which were quite enjoyable. I just kept looking for something over the next couple years. Some things did pop up but who knew if they were legit or not? Finally in 2011 we got the announcement. That got the hype going. The game looked amazing even in the first trailer and I think it's not only gonna beat IV but also every game Rockstar has ever put out.

I have it preordered. I'll be playing it as soon as it comes through the door. I'll be making sure my entire day is free. The wait will be worth it I'm sure.

TLDR; Yes. More excited for V.

Well I don't know exactly what to answer. I'm following the news a lot more than I did with IV. I'm staying on the forums all the day, re-watching the trailers and the screenshots and even re-reading the previews from various sites. Wich I didn't do for IV. But at the same time, I'm trying to do not set my hopes too high on the game, 'cause that's what I did with IV and it really was a let-down for me when I finally got the game.

So yeah I'm a lot more in the "let's read everything about it" mood, but at the same time I'm more down-to-earth with V.

Actually, I was never excited for IV. Way back before GTA IV came out I played a bit of San Andreas, after I stopped playing it I forgot about GTA entirely, then one day I discovered that IV was out for PC so I purchased it and it became one of my favorite games.

So yeah, it's pretty safe to assume that my hype for V is higher than it was for IV.

Some of you are saying GTA V premiere will not be as big as when IV comes out. Of course it was huge when GTAIII world came to an end and IV world started. But i'm still really excited for this game not only because it's gonna be another great Grand Theft Auto title from Rockstar but there still are plenty of new things that we didn't saw in our modern GTAIV-Rage era. What am I thinking about? City of Los Santos and pretty much of San Andreas State - Ocean w/underwater areas, Mountains, Hills, Fields, Wilderness with its animals, Deserts, Military Unit(s) w/Area 69 (I hope), Palms, Ghettos, Marina(s) and the list goes on and on...

All of that it's gonna be new and fresh for Rage. Also bicycles, quads, submarines, planes etc....

So yes, I am REALLY EXCITED for this game, as much as I was for GTA IV back in 2007/8 smile.gif

More excited for IV. It was the first actually good looking GTA's.

V is impressive, but I haven't been dreaming about it since like August.

When I was waiting for IV I was hell of a lot more excited and my expectations were too high. IV was a disappointment for me but i still have played it more than 500h. I try not to be too excited about V because then my expectations go to high. right now i only think about what all the articles and screenshots have showed me and think thats all V is going to contain and dont use my imagination too much like so many in this forum.

Chris Fromage

I wasn't really excited for GTA IV.

I watched the trailers and read sometimes on the internet about it, but It wasn't a very special game for me...

I honestly didn't even know IV released until a week after when a friend of mine asked me if I wanted to play the new GTA.

Needless to say I lost it when playing it for the first time. In comparison to my first experience with IV, that's how I feel about V right now. rahkstar2.gif

I don't think I had a xbox 360 yet when GTA IV was released so I didn't really follow it. Really excited for this one. I'm visiting gtav.net every day (a couple of times), checking forums, youtube, trailers/screenshots... Can Not Wait

I was very excited for GTA IV like I was never before for a game and GTA V surpassed it pretty much for me. I was never so excited about a videogame before. After the first GTA V trailer was released, I expected that the game will have a map that is about 20 square miles big, with all weapons and vehicles from GTA IV, The Lost And Damned, and The Ballad Of Gay Tony combined, then about 5-10 planes and physics that are similar to the ones of Red Dead Redemption and one protagonist. That is what I expected and I would have been satisfied. But Rockstar gives us much more and that is reason enough for me to be excited, even more than I was after the first trailer! No doubt that GTA V will be the best game of the GTA series!
