Are Micheal, Trevor, and Franklin true friends or.

1:29-1:37 shows possibilities for either one of them. Micheal calls Trevor his best friends and Franklin the son he always wanted. Franklin just simply says "Yeah, whatever." Then Trevor says, well, you've all seen the trailer. I think that makes it seems like they could be true, close, bonded friends, and that they could be just crime partners not giving a sh*t about each other. I think they will start off a just partners not caring about each other, then they will bond as the game progresses.

i remember reading somewhere that michael and franklin could play tennis together as an activity, so i'm going to go with actual friends, but in saying, i think they would be realistically minded enough about the jobs they have, and if they needed to, wouldn't have too many issues with killing one another

Micheal and Trevor are long time friends, but Micheal is Franklin's mentor, and I'm sure that they will spring up a friendship not long after the start of the game. I think the same may happen with Trevor and Franklin.

I think Houser either meant that it was a thing they were thinking of doing in development, or he was referring to the fact that they're competing. Even if they're working together, they'll each want the big prize. In that way they're all each others' antagonists.

Most of the stuff you do during gameplay is non-canon. I could shoot Luis in Three Leaf Clover, making TBOGT impossible, yet it's still there. I could shoot Johnny during Museum Piece, yet TLAD still happens.
