I think all interiors are accessible in Gta V

By all means I could be wrong but they surprise the sh*t out of us in every new information about the game and put in things you never thought about that would be in a Gta game.

They compressed the city to make it a reasonable size (Still big) and that gives them a chance to do a lot with the details.

Edit: Cant believe people dont believe rockstar can pull something like this off. Programming interiors is like expanding the map except they would do it in interiors and that is very possible.

Also id like to add This game will have many heist missions in which obviously take place in doors so when they rob things they do it in doors, so that will give us several interiors.

COME ON LOOK AT GAMES LIKE SKYRIM AND OBLIVION, YOU CAN ACCESS INTERIORS ANYWHERE and they had detail.

We already see that that there's 2D pictures on many of the building's windows. They wouldn't do that if they had interiors for every building.

i say every stand out looking landscapes are enterble but thats it and a few odd building and houses

There is just no way. We can already see lots of buildings that don't have interiors & they aren't going back to 'walk into this marker & be teleported to a room' again. Even if a third of all buildings had interiors, they would be repeated just like San Andreas (house burglary missions).

Next gen? But they can include as much interiors as they want its like expanding the map except its on the inside of buildings this time.

Hardly when half the shops in the trailer just have images stuck on the window. Don't get your hopes up.

It would be nice but maybe for GTA 6 on PS4/Xbox 720.

If your hopeing for something like RDR where you could entre almost every building(including peoples homes) its just not going to happen. RDR had a big map but few buildings so it was easier and even then not all of em had interiours.

But if by some mirical they do make that happen and even if a lot of them are the same I would be impressed and it would be a step in the right dirrection.

If we are lucky we will have 20% of the interriours accessable

Maybe some shops but those might be just small stores but the great majority will be open. Or unlocked.

There is no way this will happen. What would the point be anyway? Your hardly going to explore inside every freekin building in the WHOLE of los santos are you?? Although it would be cool from a tech point its not good use of power for me.

To the other OP i dnt remember RDR being fully open as you put it. Blackwater was a complete lock-out with only the saloon and shops 2 go into everything else was locked! im pretty sure it was the same elsewhere in the game

There was also the theater and the other hotel, as well as the lobbies of one or two of the government buildings around the plaza. But the sentiment holds true, RDR had plenty of buildings that had no interiors. It has a much higher percentage of open buildings compared to GTA, but this is just because there are so few buildings in RDR in comparison.

Definitely not. I think it'll be another 2 generations of consoles before we have that kind of detail. And even then, it probably won't be done on such huge maps like GTAV's is going to be. Not only because it'd be hard as hell for the consoles to render, just imagine how much work that would take for the developers.

NO. It's far too ambitious to have a city where every building is enterable, considering how much work would be involved. Unless you had endless interiors that were all the exact same layout, and Rockstar just wouldn't even THINK of doing that. It would also take about a decade to complete a map anywhere close to the size of THIS one, where you could enter and explore every single building or complex.

I believe that we will have a vast amount of places we can enter, but mosttly places that are important to the quality and feel of the environment. Apartment complexes aren't as important as a couple of malls, airports and office buildings like theFIB building, and even THOSE office buildings will only be partially explorable. I DO think we will be pleasantly surprised by how many places we CAN enter. It looks like Rockstar understood that many people were a little disappointed with how few places there were where we could enter.

Personally, i was SHOCKED at how little there was to explore in GTAIV considering it was such a detailed version of NYC. I especially didn't understand how places that were enterable during missions, like the museum and bank, were inaccessible during freeroam. Also, one of the biggest disappointments as far as interiors go, was the lack of an airport interior, and NO MALL! Really? A major city with no mall? Vice City had an impressive for it's time mall. I expect to see these things addressed in GTAV.

There always needs to be a sense of balance between content, console limitations, and R*s budget. I'm sure if GTAV had the graphics of GTA SA, then yes every interior may be enterable. But R* add tonnes of detail to their games and so there always must be sacrificres.

Maybe GTA VI (on next gen consoles) will have the same size map of GTA IV, only every interior is accessible and the graphics are much improved. Or maybe it will be 2x bigger than GTAV, but only have a few more interiors than V. Or maybe the map will be the size of V, with brand new graphics and lots of interiors.

My point being, you can't be expecting things like this when taking the hardware and budget into consideration. GTAIV had a small percentage of enterable structures, and GTAV is running on the same hardware but is roughly 5-6x the size of GTA IV's map. What does that tell you about the interiors? It tells me that there will only be about 5-7% of enterable structures.

More - yes, all NEVER

Its just nonsense notify.gif It will take to much time to do and i bet rockstar will rather do a bigger map than all small not useful interiors

why are you forgetting how that will have a great aspect in the multi player? Having the whole country and city open with a bunch of people and hunting each other down in teams, trapping someone in a house and throwing a grenade inside.

Look at Rpg games cmon guys

They could definitely pull it off but the consoles would simply explode (besides it would take many more years to do so)

Not to worry, I am sure there are many interiors for you to explore

its not possible on the current consoles. it would need much more power and time. i don't think this is possible EVEN on PCs for now. stuff like these won't happen until 2 consoles generation later or 5 years for pc

But then how do games like Skyrim and Oblivion have many interiors? in fact ALL the buildings can be entered. Not only that but castles, dungeons and much much more. To even add more to the plate there are mods that even add a bazzilion more interiors to the game. So what limits Gta?

gta has a city. it may be possible if gta V was only in a desert or jungle because there would be much lesser buildings

Yeap exactly, We've seen multiple buildings with 2D paintings for interiors.

It could be a hardware limitation or it could just be laziness ,regardless, Whats the point in being able to enter every single building?

Skyrim has the same textures inside buildings with objects lying around plus, the interiors in that game arent as cluttered as GTA.
