Will there be other animals?

I think it's more than likely that there will be a large amount of aquatic life, unless we're exploring a lifeless ocean floor. Other domestic animals such as cats seem likely in order to make a believable urban environment. Farm animals? Plausible. Raccoons and foxes in towns? Possible. Either way R* will no doubt pull something surprising out of the bag...

I'm not sure if it's written anywhere, but I think IGN and/or Gamepot had a video or podcast right after they were shown the demo for GTA V, and I think they talked about other animals like bears or something. It seems so long ago, but they're definitely confirmed. R* won't give us a birds, one dog, and sharks, but skip everything else.

 

 

And this isn't a poll. You're just asking a question. This isn't about opinions, so it makes no sense to create a poll when you can just do some research. I'll try to find what I can and I'll post in a few.

This isn't much but if you go to 17:54 in the video, one of the guys talks about seeing a coyote around where Trevor lives, but I'm guessing it could also be a stray dog. If I find more I'll post it.

Why would R* just put dogs and Sharks in the game and not more animals?

 

Sealife, imagine the ocean with just sharks, use your brain man.

 

Why would R* do that, I dont remember well but I think they mentioned wildlife and sealife somewhere, in an article of a review..

There will be more animals for sure. Snakes, fish, birds, pigs, rabbits, deers, etc

 

That other thing you mentioned made me think. About the look of trailers and all. The next trailer(s) could show the game from a whole 'nother perspective. Show it in a different light and all. Not so loud, not so many cuts, not so fast. Next trailer(s) could deliver a totally different vibe about V. It's a complex game after all.

 

Could be a trailer that doesn't contain story pieces, could be a trailer where only a few if no words are spoken, or a trailer with little to no music in it at all. Just to show off the map a little, maybe a neat feature or some engine mechanic. Imagine a long scene without many cuts of a dude skydiving and landing in the desert or the ocean or something. Picture him falling out of the sky, having a wonderful view on parts of Los Santos, getting closer to the ground and then diving into the ocean - swimming up to the surface and sticking his head out. Now we see either Trevor, Franklin or Michael, probably Trevor though - with a smirk on his face! And then the V appears on the screen. All you heard was the air up high in the sky during the fall, the splash on impact and later on the sound of the waves coming from the ocean he landed in. When the V sign pops up the screen goes black but you can still hear the waves...hmmm yessssss

 

Can you imagine it? Damn I can almost taste it. Now what about that?! A totally different, almost zero-story-related, but more of a economical-environmental-off-the-missions-aspect-related trailer?! Btw. sorry Matt I didn't/dont mean to derail the topic but this popped into my head when reading your post, and now I'm thinking damn...I would like to see a more calm trailer next. The first 2 were/are meant to excite and rattle people's cages. Spot-on reporting back to the scene - showing the city, cars, jets, characters, cops, guns, explosions, drama and fun yo - simply awesome trailers. Ha I guess noone would argue with that. Loud, fast, funny. The musical choice for trailer 2# was/is genius. I mean "Somebody shot off at the mouth and - We're gettin' ready to knoooow" [email protected]*? ;D

 

Anyway the next trailer(s) could, if not should be different. I'd like that...a lot. Instead of "Loud, fast, funny" I'd like to see quiet, slow, beautiful or something like that.
