No need to call anyone an "asshole" because of this, either.

And sure, maybe there is no "need" for you to upgrade to be able to play this game but I, at least, am going to save all the money I can up until summer or the GTA V release on PC (being a 17 year old still in highscool) to buy the computer that's able to max this game so I can play it with gorgeous graphics, at 50 FPS.

If something's good enough for you it doesn't necessarily mean it's good enough for everyone.

Already have 2 Slim PS3's 160gb, hooked to two Samsung 32" 1080p flatscreens. I think my laptop could handle it smoothly but I plan on getting it for PS3.

If RDR was on PC then i would have wait for GTA V on PC but not for too much time like a year

Well.. I recently upgraded to a i7 3960X and an EVGA GTX690, So, hopefully, fingers crossed, GTA V should run on low-medium settings, maybe even max settings at 15-25fps.

easily play on mid-high setting...easy...

 

just have about 8GB of RAM... running at 1600... and it'll be smooth.

Yah, I've got 16gigs of ram running at 1866, Gskill 14900.

 

I can play GTA IV at low settings and get a solid 20fps!

I was going to wait until GTA:V was due out on PC before upgrading, but a motherboard fault forced me into upgrading early. Now I'm running an i7-3930 with 16GB DDR3 and an OCZ Revo3 x2 480GB PCIe SSD.

 

I'm still running with a GTX285 2GB which works fine for now. Graphics cards generations tend to come once a year. I figure there'll be a new Nvidia gen out by the time GTA:V comes along, so I'll leave upgrading that until closer to the time.

If you want to play when it drops you'll have to go with console. From the looks of it a pc version is very likely but only a fair bit after the consoles have had their time in the sun. Not to hate on PC folks, but that's what it looks like to me..all things considered. I don't like it either.

I own and thoroughly enjoy my PS3, but have been debating upgrading my PC (specifically for IV and V). If V doesn't release on PC, there will really be no point to upgrading my PC though as the only games I really want to play on PC are GTA!!!

I kept reading posts like "I'll never buy a console for GTAV" and yet I read here bullsh*t like

"I bought a PS3 super slim 2 weeks ago for GTAV"

People who says "I'll never buy a console for GTAV" are lying to themself.

 

I DO have a PS3 but I'll NOT get GTAV for a console.

I don't see any point of having the biggest GTAV on a mediocre console.

Not hating on the console but 640p and low resolution textures and all, that's not GTA.

At the time when GTAV is released for PC, I already a have a good PC to run GTAV.
