I have some thoughts that Vice City will come after GTA V. and maybe Liberty City after that. But I have also some thoughts that Liberty City will return after Los Santos. You've got the beach,the mega rich neighbourhoods, all that up market stuff then, just 5 miles away you have some of the poorest neighbourhoods in the entire country. A lot of potential for some multi character gameplay - one a ghetto character, another a highlife living bodyguard etc... But i'm happy with Los Santos, it looks amazing and i'm looking forward to it. The only true wisdom is in knowing you know nothing. I was looking forward to a HD Vice City, larger map, more beach and more fun.. ah.. the good days.. pity, that feeling of excitement and exploration will never return.. So sad.. Matty Posted January 14, 2013 Share Posted January 14, 2013 (edited) I too was hoping for a revamped and re-designed Vice City - either that, or a return to London. I'm hoping that a GTA, sometime down the track, does a return to London as we haven't seen London in a GTA game since GTA London 1969. Maybe start off in for example San Andreas and buy a ticket to fly to Vice City or liberty or any other city of there choosing.... now that would be amazing. And maybe for the next GTA, they could go out of the US. Moscow (like they said above me) is a nice idea, or other big and popular cities like Hong kong, Istanbul, Tokyo or Brasilia. Probably a ripe location for a 'period' GTA, as well as the interesting locations to be found around there, with all that mystery and conspiracy theory stuff, with a very bright and dazzling city as the focal point. I can sort of see why they might not do that, as while Las Vegas is well know, it's really nothing like cities like New York or Los Angeles in terms of size and complexity. But it would be interesting. I'm very happy with the area they've chosen, and it was pretty much what I was hoping for (San Andreas in general, being my favorite location simply due to the high level of variety you don't get in many other locations). But if I have to say something other than Los Santos, it would be Las Venturas. I like the weirdness of the city and I love the scenic desert. Call me crazy, but I think a game set in a Washington-based city could be pretty good as far as originality goes. It's not the cliche location for open world games, and there could be lots of potential for story lines and missions - corrupt politicians, presidential assassinations, and the seedy underworld of the FBI. I agree that it would be original, but it wouldn't be the greatest place for a GTA just from a visual perspective. Movies may show Washington D.C. with a skyline for this very reason, because the real city doesn't have a single skyscraper. It just seems like it would be a rather bland, repetitive city with some occasionally interesting architecture. I don't think the countryside would be a saving grace for such a game, either.
