Trevor would have been great as a non-playable main character, but not as an actual protagonist. Maybe a psycho Mexican like Tuco from Breaking Bad could have worked: Would have kept the ethnicity in balance anyway. 1 white guy, 1 black guy, 1 Mexican. I like Trevor though... I think he's going to be interesting. Sorry man, Trevor don't appeal to me in the slightest. I'm not impressed or taken in by his self-destruct, wild, crazy, wacky and extremely violent persona, it's not like it's something I haven't seen before. He seems to get quite a number of people on here excited and hyped, but he's nothing special if you ask me. Plus I don't like the fact that he's greasy and dirty-looking. He'll pretty much be the least played out of them all for me. I have to agree with official on this one. I dont like the fact that trevor is nasty and thats a big turn off for me. I wouldnt mind if he was from the country and not dirty and nasty but I would have rather had a Mexican- American protag. It would have added great balance to the game especially since its in Los Santos. I dont know if him calling trevor white trash is racist either. By most accounts that i have seen growing up here in the south most whites would call him trash also . But its not my place to tell whites how to feel about that term as I could never understand. As many I hate franklin threads there are I dont think the OP should be banned because of having a opinion just as I dont believe the Op of the I hate franklin threads should be banned. Sure Rockstar... whatever you say. You see, it all goes back to this new attitude some GTA Forums people have that "Mayhem is immature". And while there's nothing wrong with thinking that, saying how a whole protagonist shouldn't be there because he would give people an excuse to make some mayhem is a bit out of line. I don't personally care which guy I'm using to create mayhem, but I know people who do care. GTA-King cares, which is why he'll be doing all of his mayhem with trevor. But some of you guys out there (Not talking to kesta right now) just can't accept that can you? Because in your eyes, GTA is some kind of drama, and anyone doing anything that might be considered mayhem is "Ruining" that drama, even though you can't even see how they're playing unless they're uploading their rampages to youtube and you're specifically searching for them just so you can berate people for playing the way they want to, in which case you're just a bossy dick. Thing is, GTA is not a drama. I don't care how dramatic the story in IV was, it still had bowling champion roman and steroid and bull testosterone junkie Brucie. And in the end, it still let countless people go on rampages with niko bellic, whether it was in character or not. I am willing to bet that some of those people didn't enjoy having to do that. They wish they had some other character to use for all of their mayhem. Thus, GTA V comes along and who else is there but trevor. Finally, once again people can go on rampages without breaking character and ruining the immersion. Finally, they have someone who would probably actually do all the crazy stuff that goes on in GTA rampages. But that's just not acceptable, right? Oh no no, every character must have some kind of family and be in some sort of dramatic trouble to force them to go into crime instead of just blowing sh*t up because it's fun. Because that's "Deep" or something. Well, you know what? You guys don't have to use trevor. Michael could easily be Black and Trevor could be Asian while Franklin could be White. So quite frankly I don't care that you hate him. I hope you stop playing the game when they force you to play as him. There's plenty of anti-hero's in film & Trevor looks like he could be a very memorable character. I hope he becomes popular & people constantly quote lines of his, just to piss you off. A man may become a criminal for money or power or status. What is Trevor's motivation? He dresses like a hobo. If he runs a drug-business or even gun-running, why doesn't he dress the part? The man has no self respect, no class, he's a nobody, a non-entity. He's about one step up from headbutting old women for their handbags. And above that, as a drug user, he's weak and undisciplined.
