kudoboi
i did not mention multiplayer because i had no access to it. literally 75% of the entire game was locked off. i could only play with 4 or 5 vehicles and a few maps. i tried the game with every sensitivity possible and it was always either too weak or too strong. keyboard has always worked for me on racing games. i had no problems playing shift 1 or 2 on KB and since this game is being developed by the same developer you would expect it to work as well as it that game. this was my experience with the game. first the part where you had to login, it didn't detect that i was connected to the internet. i had to open random ports and make my IP static just to get the login system to work. after that it was the downloading. the game downloaded updates so slowly ( it was taking about 3 hours for 1GB) and my internet is much faster than that. i can usually download a 10GB game on steam within minutes. i left my PC to download it from 3PM to 10AM the next day only to find out that the game data i had was corrupted so i had to uninstall and re download again. they did not think of combining the whole game + all updates into 1 single file so i had to download hundreds of them. after that terrible experience, i finally got into the game only to find out that many parts of the game were locked off for me including multiplayer. the game also crashed after every 2 races or so and a small thing that pissed me off was the fact that there was no confirmation message when i pressed the ESC or backspace button similar to a recent game i played called antichamber. that caused the game to just exit to desktop but i didn't write that in my previous post because this game is still in development. all the cars i had were either rally cars or super sport cars or F1 cars. i wanted to try out cars like the BMW or the ford focus etc. i also wanted to try maps like the highway only to find out that it was locked out. with limited maps( only 3 to 4 maps to choose from) i played all of them with different weather at different time mostly with the zonda or the gumpert because i don't really like F1 cars or cars like ariel atom or BAC mono. the game felt decent until the point where there was turning. even slowing down the car it was really hard to turn. i moved the sensitivity up just a little and suddenly the car spins just from pressing the A and D key for a split second. i had this same issue 7 or 8 months ago and was hoping they would have fixed it after all those patches and updates. valve games have this similar issue just with the audio instead of steering sensitivity. even excluding the steering sensitivity issue, the game was pretty dull at least for my account membership type especially when you can't upgrade it. there was only about 7 or 8 cars to choose from which is the ariel atom, bac mono, catherham, caper stock car, a F1 car, lotus 49, gumpert apollo and the zonda R with about 4 different race tracks. the only 3 cars i liked was the stock car, the apollo and the zonda but the steering issue made all of them near undriveable. im honestly not going to invest into a controller or a steering wheel for a single game. its as ridiculous as the users on the GTA V section telling people to buy a xbox or PS3 just for gta V. especially when i can play every other racing game just fine with a KB including NFS series, DiRT series, burnout paradise, crash time series, ridge racer unbounded, TDU, flatout, GRID, Blur, and driver SF. Just becuase you can't access it doesn't mean it's not there. You said all it had going for it was the graphics when in fact there is so much more. Yeah, you say the keyboard works fine on Shift 1 & 2. They are completed, finished games. Project CARS is an unfinished, alpha-stage work-in-progress. Only on build 433. They have much more pressing things to be doing than work on the keyboard optimisation. All that stuff happens at the end of the development cycle. You literally can't compare a fully completed game to a work-in-progress. You don't have to download the game through the launcher. You can download all of the builds through torrents and mirrors. It says on the website that certain levels have certain restrictions. I'm on the €25 package and I only a have a little more than what you have. I will be upgrading to the €100 package once upgrades are allowed again. You make it out to be that it's Slightly Mad Studios fault when in fact when they reached their target, they reopened upgrades due to popular demand. The FSA has an investigation going on into the legality of the system so they had to close the registration so it had nothing to do with SMS. That statement is flawed. Project CARS is an alpha-build, racing simulator. All of the games you mentioned there are all arcade racing games. The exact polar opposite. The physics are so more advanced in Project CARS than those games combined to be honest and in my opinion it shouldn't even be aimed at keyboard and mouse users. This game is mainly marketed at people who play rFactor, iRacing, LiveForSpeed and Simraceway. All games that you could never play with a keyboard. Chukkles
Looks better than any other racing game I've played! Agreed, I don't normally go for racing sims, but this looks out of hand. I would not get this on my 360 . It just couldn't be done justice, I'm sure.
Sneakerhead.
Don't you die on me dammit! *Revives thread* Have to say that game seems to be coming along nicely, I will make sure to get it. Also, the makers of PC.A.R.S signed a deal with Mercedes-Benz for some new cars, I don't remember them all, but some included: Sauber C9 Mercedes-Benz CLK-LM (This signed the deal, I will mainly get the game because of this) Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG GT3 (Also in GT6) Link to Mercedes Add-On news: Mercedes Add-On news Edited June 7, 2013 by GTAction99
Finn 7 five 11
Racing games suck on keyboard anyway unless you're playing an arcade racer, which Need For Speed shift was.

F*cked up how the SLS GT3 is getting all the attention, and the real stars aren't getting sh*t. The SLS GT3 is good too.
Whiskey
There's no pictures because there's been no progress on those vehicles. They're still collecting references for modeling. I will post some pics once I get them. A few new tracks were added, Silverstone classic, Spa classic and Fort Felix (From Ferrari Legends). friendly luggage
I wish I bought a membership while it was still open Those screens look beautiful and I bet it's fun to race around in the Capri. @kudoboi The vast majority of racers aren't designed at all for keyboards. How can you have precise control of car without an analogue input? A keyboard only offers full ON, or full OFF. In my eyes keyboards are a no no for flight sims and racers.
