The official website will lauch in late January or anytime in February if I would have to guess. Also I expect a release date announcement later this month. Why are you so surprised about it? Rockstar tries to avoid any delays this time so it's not a wonder that they do not talk about the game all the time.

R* confirmed that the boxart will be released at the end of the month. If I recall correctly, the boxart reveal for GTA IV was pretty far along in the marketing campaign. Perhaps this is a sign that Dan Houser was right; they plan on revealing as little as possible for this game.

 

I wouldn't say it's a stretch to believe that the release date will be announce alongside the new boxart.

That's within 14 months though. Two trailers and just one real preview. Most of those other previews are based off the GI preview and provide nothing new. Most of the screens show the same locations just different angles. We're still without the big stuff like a release date and official site this close to the supposed Spring release. If there's no release date by February 5th then I don't forsee a Spring launch.

Also, where did you read about a site update?

Just going by the last GTA game and it's marketing. It is very easy for things to be "shown" in a fast past which will occur with V.

 

For example, no information really other than the box art for IV in November 2007, a thrid trailer in December of 2007, however that trailer 3 was due to the delay of IV.

 

So here is February 2008 below for IV, and i think it will seem to shape up in a similiar fashion. It only takes a couple weeks of teasers, and by the first week in March of 2008 there was a load of info in only one month, and March continued with teasers also.

 

Plus other mags will have there blow out of new info.

The song played in the TV spot was Miles Davis's Move

Again "towards the end of the month" cover reveal means 30-31st of January, with a release date of course. Why a release date with the cover release, because the investor call is the following week February 5, and it will give Zelnick and company a firm date for the investors and it will raise the stock and all will finally be happy with a firm date. R* of course is first to release the release date not Zelnick. Newswire releases the release date of course.

Only reason I dont think 23rd is Dead Island Riptipe comes out, not that it is a factor at all to GTA in any way shape or form. But 30th is open, and also coincides with 5 year anniversary.

First preview (2nd trailer also) was slightly delayed possibly from Nov 1 till 8th(preview), due to the Hurricane, no not me, Hurricane Sandy.

 

So there you have it folks. We only have 3 1/2 months left to make it.

When there was no info these Conference calls really was important to me not anymore. I have all I need now 2 trailers, over 70 unique screens and artworks, multiple previews with a little bit of new info from each and kind of a release date.

I hope the TTWO stock price tanks right after the report, like it did after the 30 July 2012 report, so I can buy a few shares at a low point and reduce my downside risk. Have to move quickly, though -- it didn't stay down long, and since then the TTWO stock has had more percentage gain than the rest of the stock market. I think I wll set up a buy order for TTWO for about 10% lower than its price the day before the call.
