Matty Posted January 13, 2013 Share Posted January 13, 2013 It's going to be discussing the financial results of the third quarter of their fiscal year (which ended December 31st, 2012), so don't look too deeply into this as a source of potential GTA V information or a release date. I highly doubt that a release date for GTA V, if anything at all relating to GTA V, will be announced or revealed during this press conference. It is merely confirmed with those that understand an investors call and how it will direclty influence the company with regards to V. Again "towards the end of the month" cover reveal means 30-31st of January, with a release date of course. Why a release date with the cover release, because the investor call is the following week February 5, and it will give Zelnick and company a firm date for the investors and it will raise the stock and all will finally be happy with a firm date. R* of course is first to release the release date not Zelnick. Newswire releases the release date of course. Investors and fans are happy. The countdown begins. They will not wait till the END OF MAY for the next conference call to announce a release date as at that point the game will be released already. (April 30) No game is getting released at the end of MAY because of Memorial weekend here in the US. They are not releasing this game in the middle of a month, March will never happen as described a million times already, June will never see a GTA release as summer is starting, and April 30 is the five year anniversary and will be the date. Sometime I wonder why people even bother talking about it and bringing it up on these boards. I doubt anything significant will be revealed. Being that in the present, we have a sh*t load of information on GTA V, people are really expecting a lot from this conference call. You do have a point, but the only difference is this is GTA, not RDR, LAN, MP3 which in those three titles they did not know how they would sell and it was a month (middle of May) in which there was no competition of games. GTA can release at any time and sell boat loads, that is why i would go with the last title GTA IV which released April 29 thus V is April 30 imo.
