GTAV Review Score?

OK first of f*cking all where is the perfect 10? WTF are you on about? No game recieved a perfect 10 from IGN or GameSpot, Nor Metacritics.

IGN gave GTA IV a perfect 10. Undead Nightmare a perfect 10 and Uncharted 3 a perfect 10

It will probably have a few glitches and bugs that will bring it down to about 9.8 or 9.9. RDR's only flaw according to IGN was the occasional graphical glitch, otherwise it would have got a 10.

Gta IV got 10's and it was deserved it. But GTA V is going to be much much bigger and alot better so i would assume it would also get a ten.

 

Ill be shocked if it doesn't. IGN are getting to fussy these days and so are other game reviewers. I guess we shall wait and see when the time arrives.

I think GTA V could get a 10 on some websites, but standards have rose since then. It will definently have a score higher than a 9, though.

we know way too little about the game to guess on that. FOr all we know the aiming system could be bad.. the driving system could be changed too much.. things like that can really take points away from it.

Depends on how groundbreaking the game actually is. Id say there is a lesser chance of the game getting a perfect ten for each sequel from now on. I believe that, although the game may turn out superior to IV, there is a chance of it getting less praise.

GTA IV has the highest score on MetaCritic, 98.

Which is in my opinion too overrated.. I mean, it's a masterpiece but those ratings are way off.

 

But for GTA V I predict the same.. just that the ratings will be more accurate (and not too overrated). At least that's what I hope. I just can't imagine V being rated lower than IV when it should be better in every single way (gameplay, map, features, graphics).

Meh, I really stopped giving a sh*t about scores, officially, when I seen the score that IGN game Sonic Unleashed for the PS3/360 (4.5/10). That game was tons better than that, should have gotten a 9.0 at least. Just as it was mentioned, scores are pretty much opinion based. I can see the game getting a 10/10. I can also see the game NOT getting a 10, for the person reviewing the game might not like the whole switching characters concept.

 

It will be a excellent game though, this GTA V. I really don't care about the score. I never let these review sites decide if I want to buy a game or not.

This is why I hate review sites these days. If they give any old sh*tty game that comes out a 10/10 just because it didn't suck (ie. Uncharted 3, Skyrim, etc) then the value of a game like GTAV is completely lost. It would be off the scale.

We need a site that gives realistic ratings. GTAIV would be something like 7/10... Uncharted 3 should sit somewhere like 8/10 for example. In that case, V would be 10/10.

What we need is more sites that don't give ratings at all. I really think the best "rating" scale for games is Buy, Try, and Skip, or a system similar to that. All this 9.8 and 9.6 and 9.doobydoo nonsense just makes people argue and ignore the actual content of a review. Or how if a game gets an 8 out of 10, everyone gets up in arms as if it's some abysmal score.

True we should have a site that sort of reviews and looks at the content of the game, but doesn't give a score, basically letting tthe reader make their own decisions of wether or not to buy it based on what they have seen/read.

An Uncharted game over a GTA!?! Madness!

 

Sure, Uncharted 3 deserves an 8/10, but then IV would deserve at least an 8.5/10, if not 9. Uncharted isn't even in the same league, and that's coming from a PS3 owner. Then again, I'm biased: I only think sandbox games and/or RPGs are ambitious enough to deserve 9/10 or above. Linear FPS and TPS games are a dime a dozen.
