GTA IV has the highest score on MetaCritic, 98.

For some reason no game ever gets a perfect rating of 10 as every game has small flaws, but it will be in the very high ninties for sure.

GTA V looks alot better than GTA IV, so if IGN or anyother reviewer for that matter hasn't changed it will get a 10.

i think the game will have muddy graphics like GTA4, some technical issues as far as draw distance, some freezing and chopping and i believe alot of things will be LEFT OUT that should be in the game....but i hope im wrong and they jam pack it with everything they should.

I am betting on a 9.8/10 or higher.

 

EDIT @xxxShazaMxxx: Are you kidding? There are 27 games that got a perfect 10 from IGN.

Uh, yes it did. GTA IV wasn't the first to receive a 10 either.

 

OT: I'm not so sure it'll get a 10, primarily because the three protagonist thing might not sit well with everyone and it really all depends on whether or not that works. I don't think IV deserved a 10 either, a 9.7-9.9 but not a 10.

Review scores are largely subjective. The reason I personally believe GTA IV got consistent 10s is because it was/is superior on a techical level to the GTA III era.

 

Will GTA V do the same? I don't see why not, but the leap from GTA IV to GTA V wont be a big as it was from the GTA III era to GTA IV concerning technicalities.

The point I was making is if you got 100% on an exam it doesn't necessarily make it perfect as a different marker could see it differently.

 

Nothing is perfect no matter how good it is. GTA IV is prime example of that. It has plenty of flaws which don't make it perfect, but it still got 10s and for what I believe are the reasons above. GTA games have always been rated highly so it was bound one of them would get a 10 one day.

 

Besides not all reviewers rated GTA IV 10/10. It did recieve some mid 9s.
