Or the old fallacy of cannabis being a 'Gateway Drug', which is true but only because it's illegal & happens to be the most popular drug after alcohol & tobacco. Of course cannabis will be in V somewhere (it was everywhere in MP3), but I doubt any of the protagonists will smoke it. Although if Trevor actually takes Meth, then he or Franklin might partake. I'd like to see Peds talk about it or smoking on the street. I'd like to find a small field of it in the countryside too. This. This topic should be V related, not people debating weed. GTA fan from the United Kingdom Posted January 13, 2013 Share Posted January 13, 2013 Weed affects everyone differently, and it does not make everyone "lazy" and/or useless, i have been smoking marijuana for ages and it has only made me "lazy" once.I am a productive member of society, i have a healthy diet, i work out, and in fact, i function better when im high. The only negative effects it has on me is that it makes me tired the next day, and i will occasionaly get paranoid from smoking it. It really annoys me when people say that marijuana makes you do dumb things, yet those are the same people who are going down the pub every night, throwing their money down the drain on booze, which makes them violent, destructive and it can break up relationships. OP: I would love to see marijuana in V, it seems like a lot of people smoke it in LA, and correct me if im wrong but marijuana could be legalized in Cali soon? Tenpenny takes hits from a bong. The entire "Truth" introduction is all about weed (Tenpenny uses CJ to but Truth's crop). Ryder's constantly smoking a blunt in cutscenes. Sweet mentions weed many times to CJ. Then in IV you've got Little Jacob. Pretty much 90% of his dialogue is weed related. Of course cannabis will be part of V. We've seen it in the casting call, it hasn't really been captured fully, its part of Californian culture, and its new and fresh compared to GTAIV. It's the exact question some people might ask after they've been using cannabis for awhile. It can be considered a gateway drug for two reasons(usually combination of both)... 1) Some people smoke weed and say "this is cool and now that I know at least one drug is good, I should be open to others." This is why telling a kid "weed is bad" is the wrong way to educate them. They find out you're lying about one drug, maybe the others are okay as well. 2) Because cannabis is illegal in most cases, the easiest way to purchase it is at your local street pharmacist. When I go to my dude, he also has other sh*t he'll offer me. So in my case, my weed man is the literal "gateway" to other drugs.
