Marijuana in GTA V

i know a bunch of people, professional, doctors, lawyers, phd students, even a few millionaires running lucrative company's; pretty much a bunch of really smart people that smoke weed. and have been smoking weed for a good chunk of their lives. Those people are not middle schoolers or hipsters. All these people are respectable members of their community and are not "drug addicts". it always annoys me when people try to classify weed in the same level as crack or heroin. If you fellow gtaforum members are above the age of 18 (and if its legal in your state or country depending on where your from). I suggest you try some herbals one time, and see if it doesn't change your mind. its perfectly safe, if you vape or eat it in form of edibles. I'm an avid smoker at a UC with a hard major (Economics) and I'm passing all my classes with flying colors. And no its not addictive, Ive gone months at a time without ever wanting a "fix". Weed is just something to relax, like many people do with a glass of wine or a beer at the end of their day. (do your research, cannabis has been around for thousands of years, and has been used to treat many ailments.)

THANK YOU! . The misconceptions some people have about marijuana are often ridiculous and a bit frustrating. I would urge many of the people on this board to do a little research, and honestly, get high once.

 

EDIT: On topic, we know marijuana dispesaries will be present due to the GI review. And I would go to say that they're atleast enterable, since they said Franklin was walking out of it when they switched to him. That's assuming they were on freeroam. And if that's all correct, it's not a far leap from there to suggest we can buy it and then sell and/or smoke it.

 

I wonder how they'll do the effects if it's consumable though. I personally think they did pretty good with the drunk effects in IV, so I think they could manage pretty well with this.

Heres my prediction: franklins friend introduces him to a new weed connect... Michaels son. Then he meets his dad and they start doing some serious sh*t. But hows trevor gonna meet them? Whats their connections?

 

But yeah itd be cool to do some delivery type missions. Some cartels have extensive networks of runners that work off of phones and predetermined locations, I could see GTA mimicking this idea

Simulating the effect seems difficult though. Perhaps it would change the things the character says, like, instead of "Get the f*ck outta the car NOW!" if your guy is stoned he'd be like, "Hey man, this is mine now get out."

I read somewhere that it allows your brain to make connections it woudln't normally make, and tat's the best description I've heard. If it doesn't do anything special other than seemingly relaxing you as much as a cigarette or a pint of beer could do, I don't see why there's too much fuss about it, nor why people claim it's THAT great. I don't really know the exact difference between getting high and going on a trip. I guess that getting high only gets you to see weird sh*t at most, or making you feel philosophical, and going on a trip is seeing things completely different to what they actually are.

Meth on the other-hand is difficult to manufacture and is highly illegal to make, so people buy it from dealers on the streets.

Its way different that alcohol or cigarettes i can tell you that as a fact. when you're high you will probably say some really dumb/crazy sh*t, everything you do is more enjoyable including listening to music, laying down, your movements are really slow. its hard to describe, i'd recommend trying marijuana, but smoke it twice because i didn't get high the first time i smoked. it also depends on the quality, if you have any friends that smoke ask them if you can smoke with them, ask for the good stuff. a lot of uniformed haters out there, don't listen to them because they've probably never smoked in there life and are just hating because it is a drug and because some potheads can be annoying.

I 100% guarantee weed will be in V. R* likes to parody pop culture, and weed is pretty much flourishing in Southern Cali. I can't wait to go hiking as Franklin with Chop and light up a joint (as I light one in real life) and then got lost in the nature.

I think it would be cool to have a second phone, like real dealers, that you could turn on when you wanted to start getting calls from buyers. I like the idea of maybe driving outside the city to pick up a couple of pounds of weed then driving all over the city selling it off. Would make police chases more intense if you knew you'd lose the weed if they caught you.

You are missing my point! I am saying things like crystal-meth and heroine are MORE profitable than marijuana. Anyone can grow cannabis in their attic but in order to manufacture something like methamphetamine it requires much more procedure and resources than just simply growing cannabis, therefore the price is much higher for meth than marijuana. Drugs like meth, heroine, cocaine, and PCP are also addictive and people will often come back time and time again to get their fix. In contrast marijuana is not addictive and (many) people will not smoke it as frequently. I am not at all saying the marijuana trade is not profitable, I am simply saying it is NOT AS PROFITABLE! I could defiantly imagine someone like Michael's son being a weed dealer, but it is the scary ass guys like Trevor who sell the heavy stuff like heroine and crystal.

Weed can be quite habitually, and stoners need to stop embracing it like its less addictive than coffee. I have seen so many peoples lives play out like sh*t because they are lazy stoners and cant function out there. Its still a drug. It's funny when someone that has never smoked in there life and probably sure as hell hasn't done any reliable research with a legit source talk out of there ass about something like weed. if you don't want to ever smoke i respect that, i do though recommend you try it twice in your life at some point in time. the fact marijuana in illegal and how it has gotten a bad wrap from the government, lazy potheads(some not all), being a drug in general, being illegal, etc. has really gotten a lot of people to look down upon it. people can get addicted to anything and that fact is not really thought of by the haters. not everyone has the willpower to stop smoking if they need to, it is commonly associated with addiction which is bs. Getting high is not the same as tripping. When you're high, it's just like a feeling of having enhanced senses, everything tastes better, sounds better, etc. Tripping means you're seeing sh*t like panthers in your fridge. That would be shrooms or LSD or whatever.

 

Also, I think everyone should smoke not because "it makes you cool", (cuz trust me, those douchebags annoy the rest of us pot smokers who enjoy it for what it is just as much as you) but because it relieves stress, and as pointed out before, today's coffee fueled, stressed-out, depressed, prescription-pill problem solvers could really use an all-natural stress reliever.
