The system from Chinatown Wars was just too good. I have so many hours logged into that game on my phone and literally 95% of it is the lottery and buying & selling drugs. That is all I want in V man. Chinatown Wars had the best economy of any GTA game, ever. Agreed (except for the no taking drugs part). @infiniteammo: mmmmm. "Medical Doughnuts"... theworldfamous Posted January 12, 2013 Share Posted January 12, 2013 GTA has always dealt with drugs in the storyline, but also always kind of stayed away from it and limited it to druggy side characters. IV had a seriously anti (hard-)drugs vibe even. I hope V is the one where they finally tackle the subject for real. The time is right, the setting is perfect for it. Its all about the moderation. Someone who take too much drug is likely to have a weaker body due to the toxin in their brain and immunitary system. So people who say the same bullsh*t about the bad marijuanna drug go inform yourself properly because it does not kill your brain cell like everyone say. They f*cking suffocate monkeys to have this point that only 1 study bring up and its was done really bad. For me, its is clear that marijuanna has been used for 4000 years as a medical plant and I hope it will be for the next 4000. If people have the right to be high on caffeine, alcool, the nicotine from cigarette or a lot of pain killer and others prescribed drugs, I have the right to smoke a plant. Carcinogens-b-gone! It still kills your braincells, it's proven in a study. The only reason doctors medicate it to people with cancer is to relieve their pain. They are going to die anyway. that study was from like 30 years ago and they were trying to make the outcome appear that it killed brain cells. the study was proven inaccurate by many respected scientists. new studies have been done today, and guess what? no correlation. in fact, fairly recent testing has been done on rats with high doses of MJ, and guess what? brain cell development was INCREASED. anyway, enough with the debates. and i think there's a topic in the debates/ discussion area for marijuana about long term effects. Thank you. People need to do some research. They were giving monkeys a ridiculous amount of cannabis INSTEAD of oxygen. Do you know what happens when you deprive the brain of oxygen? We already know that there is a lot of chance that cannabis will be more present in the storyline and in the game in general but I doubt that we will be albe to smoke it during gameplay like it was possible to get drunk in GTA IV with a friend. Rockstar could surprise me though. The breeze from the ocean carries on throughout the big city of Los Santos and gently cools your face from the view from the Griffith observatory museum. You reach into your pocket to find a pipe, pulling it out to find that it's clean and ready to be used. As a woman watches the sunset, she sees you admiring your pipe and tries to tell you smoking is bad. The annoying lady gets thrown over the edge as you watch and laugh as she falls. You reach in your other pocket to find a ball of foil, you unwrap it to find a lovely stash of marijuana sits in it. You start to smoke your marijuana and and enjoy the the sunset. You hear "puff, puff and pass bro" coming from behind. You see Franklin walking up with his hand stretched out and Michael close behind. I would like to see Michael getting some medical marrywanna prescripted by his therapist for example. Picture it: One afternoon he visits the pharmacy, picks up the chronic and drives home to get comfortable and watch tv or something. He lights it up and things get going...you know. Some time later Jimmy arrives and sees Michael sitting on the couch, watching TV and eating pizza. Jimmy can smell the chronic in the air. He shouts "YO....what's up old man?!" Now Michael turns around with a stoned/annoyed face "oh look...it's my favorite son" Then he turns back to the TV. Jimmy knows what's going on and tells Michael "pass it to the nigg* on your left", waiting for his dad to pass it over to him. But Michael literally looks to his left all high and sh*t, chuckles and then says "yeeeah, son, *makes a break to light the doobie and hit it again, a short cough* you see, I smoke this to calm my nerves. It was actually working, right until you showed up a minute ago or for however long you've been standing there looking at the back of my head. Cause, you and I both know that amongst your mother and sister, you're one of the reasons why I have this god damn migrane. So long story short: forget it homie, get yourself some pot on the street from a balla or something. And now "bounce" * Michael pulls the troll face as he leans back on the couch and continues to watch TV. Jimmy walks away like "yeah whatever old man I got stuff to do anyway". Dangerous stuff we will have to rescue him from later on (trailer scene etc). Michael just stares at the TV and laughs at some stupid sh*t he sees on the tube. assmillk Posted January 12, 2013 Share Posted January 12, 2013 I forgot if it was either GI or IGN but they said in a video that in the demo they saw Franklin walking out of a medical marijuana dispensary when they switched over to him. i really hope so, i hope to see rastafarians as well. oh and if nobody has seen it, the show weeds is actually pretty good. just got into it and have seen like 5 episodes so far. Eh, I don't smoke, never have, never will, but I think it would be a nice feature simply because if Rockstar's mission is to capture the current day LA scene, then weed dispensaries definitely need to be in the game. it's really nothing to stay away from. Simulating the effect seems difficult though. Perhaps it would change the things the character says, like, instead of "Get the f*ck outta the car NOW!" if your guy is stoned he'd be like, "Hey man, this is mine now get out." Things like Crystal-Meth, Heroine, Cocaine, X, ect... are much more profitable drugs than marijuana. If people want weed they just grow it in their attic or in their garden. Meth on the other-hand is difficult to manufacture and is highly illegal to make, so people buy it from dealers on the streets. About smoking weed, i really don't care. IF it was in the game I would not smoke it in the game because the only people who smoke weed are middle schoolers and hipsters, Michael, Franklin, and Trevor are too mature for marijuana, they do not seem like the drug-addict type, Now Trevor on the other hand, he would not smoke weed, but I could see him getting into bigger sh*t like cocaine or meth.
