crow41798
Anyone get random crashes when browsing actors? It isn't any single actor that does it, always random. I assume this means I don't have any mods conflicting.
PatrickW
It depends what kinds of mods you have, besides DYOM..
crow41798
I reinstalled San Andreas. Without using any other mods, I installed CLEO 3 and DYOM only. Actors still crash.

You say random actor crashing? I had the same problem, but it seems it disappeared. Try switching CLEO versions, maybe this will help.
crow41798
Switch to CLEO 4, or switch to an earlier version of 3?
Satourn
4, of course.

NexusUndead
Than just use CLEO 3, makes sense. doesn't it.

Didn't work. Anyway, I reinstalled Cleo 3 and that seemed to fix things. No more crashing.

crow41798
I don't think I've ever played a game as unstable as San Andreas, at least on Windows 7. It's crashing again. The only mods I have are DYOM and CLEO. Am I supposed to go through the actors slowly? Is it acceptable to go through the actors quickly by pressing the button? I wish there was a way to generate an error log for San Andreas so that I can figure out what is going wrong. I never crash while playing the main game, which is weird because if it's the actors causing the crash, then they would crash during the main game too? Maybe it's the act of switching through the actors quickly that causes the game to be overloaded and crash. Does anyone else have this problem? About the actor crash, sometimes it happens to me if i: - Have alot of actors - Using skin mods - Used CTRL + P alot

About the actor crash, sometimes it happens to me if i: - Have alot of actors - Using skin mods - Used CTRL + P alot This happens on the first time I choose an actor, so it can't be that I have too many. I don't have any skin mods and don't use CTRL + P. Also, the scmlog only records opcodes, right? That wouldn't have much to do with the actors, or am I wrong? I'm sure that other people occasionally have a crash ever so often, but everytime I do a full rotation of the actors, it crashes. EDIT: Weird, it seems like the streammemoryfix.asi is what was crashing the game during the actor swap. Strange. I don't know how that could have crashed the game, but it was. crow41798
It seems like whenever I add more memory to the game, it crashes during actor swap. Because streammemoryfix.asi broke the game, I tried Sacky's limit aduster. Increasing the stream memory caused the game to crash. I need to increase the memory somehow, because otherwise the textures in the game pop in and out constantly, making the game unplayable. If I even increase the stream memory slightly, the game crashes. If it helps, here is the error log for Sacky's limit adjuster. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- GTA:SA Crashed, Debug Info Follows: GTA Info: Version: US 1.0 Last File Loaded: AUDIO\STREAMS\AMBIENCE Last Library Loaded: Error: Unknown Assembly Info Exception At Address 0x156173D Exception Code 0xc0000005 (EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION) Registers: EAX: 0x0000000C EBX: 0x0000000 ECX: 0x00000000 EDX: 0x000027A6 ESI: 0x00000000 EDI: 0x00000000 EBP: 0x00000000 ESP: 0x0028FAB4 ---------------------------------------------- According to Sacky's topic, last lile loaded being AUDIO\STREAMS\AMBIENCE means nothing because of course AMBIENCE is going to be the last file loaded, because it plays all the time. Are there any coders or anybody out there that can make sense of this error log? I can't play DYOM without a higher amount of streaming memory. crow41798
Is anyone else able to run the streammemoryfix or increase the stream memory, or is this problem isolated to me? Edit: It seems like the problem actors are actors 120 - 190. 100% of the time, the actors that crash are in this area. The actors in other numbers never crash the game no matter how many times I go through them. I suppose I can just skip actors 120 - 190 for now, but that really sucks, so if anyone has another solution, tell me. Streammemoryfix.asi mod works with DYOM for my PC, even i have millions of mods without conflicting DYOM. My DYOM only crash if i browse through actors too fast. crow41798
I tried going through slowly, didn't help. Also, fire crashes the game if I put more than 3 or 4 (early while designing), or if I put any fire (after a while of designing).

I've been scrolling through actors fast. And i mean very fast. It doesn't happen to me. Maybe it's because of your system configurations?
