Pyrrhic
The ONE thing I despise about GTA 4 is that when you are stopped at a red light cars behind you will toot their horns and then DRIVE AROUND YOU only to stop at the red light in front of you! WTF!?! I would be more than happy to upload a video of it to youtube if you don't get what I mean.

There is a police station in GTA IV a cop standing outside the station whatches as you crash all the the police cars when driving a bus into them now that is strange. Mokrie Dela
there's little i dislike tbh. I'll be here too long listing what i like. Don't like: The swingset glitch (yes i think it's retarded). Multiplayer (same for most games) No active buses/routes Not enough really nice clothes. Traffic AI:random and sudden lane changes on bridges (SA has this too) Impatient drivers that will fight through hell to overtake me - just me - in traffic The incessant honking of horns whenever you're driving Car customisation, though it didnt bother me THAT much. I can live without it but itd be nice to have it features introduced then abandoned (stun punch for example) Lack of any real highway system Disappearing cars - I WANT THAT SABRE I JUST SAW Lack of stealth/hiding How the police have a sixth sense to track you, even though they havn't even seen you. Conversely, I've had times where i've changed cars, then driven past the cops looking for me and they never noticed me. Weapon suppressors. Rain effects - when it rains niko never gets visibly wet - he shakes himself off but he LOOKS dry. Same when he goes in the water. empty apartments - Niko lives with roman, so why isn't Roman around at all at the apartment? Also why is there only one bed? I'd love to walk into the apartment to see Roman and Mallorie eating dinner or watching I'm Rich. The ending - a supposed branching storyline, but both endings are the same mission. They could have done this so much better with the story actually splitting and the missions being different. I hate the use of the bike in the final mission, and not a big fan of the shootout Talking of that finale, taping "A" to get in the helicopter. f*ck off. The inability to buy a cup of coffee and just walk around drinking it like the cops do The fighting system - it's good, but after a while it feels really lacking TLAD and BOGT were too short A note on some things i REALLY like: Driving mechanics and buildings. They're a bit bouncy but they're fun and feel good. I love driving in IV Friends/dates - Yup, i said it. I LIKED that feature. I NEVER got bugged by constant phone calls - i'm skeptical anyone gets them as much as they claim. I learnt so much about roman and niko on them, and some of my favourite moments come from them. The activities could be better but i liked the feature. Long story - It felt epic. When it came to an end it felt like i'd gone on a real journey. Only SA, RDR and Assassins Creed 2 have given me such a feeling, Radio. Much of the songs i'd never heard of, but they fit the game well, and i ended up listenning to LRR, Radio Broker Vladistock (sp?), Tuff gong and Fusion a hell of a lot. In TLAD i listend to LRR and LCHC a lot and BOGT i listened to the reggaeton station a lot. DLC - was amazing value for money. A standard i dont think we'll see again. TLAD was nothing short of amazing, and BOGT was alright, lacking a bit but enjoyable. All i can think of/ cba to type right now. The only true wisdom is in knowing you know nothing. WTF!?! I would be more than happy to upload a video of it to youtube if you don't get what I mean. I get what you mean. The thing is: The traffic behind you assumes you're parking. It's a flaw in the programming caused by them adding the ability to park on the side of roads and having traffic move around you(wasn't possible in SA). So basically when you sit in traffic, keep about just less than a car length in front of you and slowly move up every seven seconds(the traffic won't assume you're parking and will stay behind you. OT: One thing I seriously hate: When you drive a car for sooo long and if flips over, you try to spawn a car and flip the other one over. Well, as soon as you start the other car, the car you were driving in for so long just disappears front in front of your eyes. It is honestly among one of the stupidest and annoying-ist glitches and better be fixed in V. This was quite uncalled for, how lazy to make an error like that. Strength
I found a solution to this matter a long time ago! Just give a little bit of gas now and then when you standing still on traffic lights, until the the light hits green. Of course, look behind you every time. Cars won't madly try to take your spot and overrun you on the traffic lights. I agree! Sometimes, traffic is too horrible. I hate when drivers make a traffic jam and hit each others like a bunch of stupid idiots. Also when they hit lighting poles, traffic lights, garbage cans, peds or Niko/Johnny/Luis when passing zebra crossing, your car/bike from behind (especially in Bohan and Algonquin), other cars and so on. Hope they fix this in V, or I will just go berserk every time when some fool tries to be a smart-ass like that and start cursing like I'm driving a real car. GTA V seems to be re-addressing the issues people have with GTA IV and it'll only benefit us, the players. I agree it's a bit ridiculous when people complain about the smallest things, but some of its technical issues such as people finding movements sluggish and whatnot need to be looked at and improved. Racecarlock
Likes: -Pretty immersive city, and so detailed that mom could actually find a bike route that she'd use to get from coney island to the subway. -The physics are awesome. If only I didn't get a star every time a car I'm destroying with mine reaches a certain point of damage. -The story is alright. Not transcendentally fantastic, but it's good. Dislikes: Grey and brown everywhere. I've been to the real new york in 2001 a few weeks after 9/11, and I've seen images of it today. It is not nearly that grey and brown on the ground. Not even in winter. No planes. I know it sounds like a shallow gripe, but I like to fly in video games. I know rockstar said that new york wouldn't be satisfying to fly in, but I disagree heavily. No parachutes or APCS unless you buy the DLC. Sorry, but those parachutes and the APC don't look like things that took a long time to code. They could easily have made it into the original. No content fusion. So if I'm playing BOGT and want to listen to Richard Bastion I have to look the show up on the computer and turn the in game radio off. The social system being one of the only things you can do after the story. True, they didn't call me constantly, but what sucks is that the only non average guy activities are assassinations and vigilante missions, which are essentially the same. I like bowling. I like pool. But they are not things I play GTA for. I play GTA to get away with crazy chaos and go on tank rampages and fly planes. You have to get BOGT for the tank, and flyable planes are no where. Oh, bogt lets you have a whole shootout inside of one, but forget flying one, that would just be crazy. Oh and there's the flying rat quest. Oh boy, isn't that exciting. Hunting pigeons that don't move and give you wanted stars when they get shot. Psychic f*cking cops. I'm serious, I can't even set stuff on fire in my own damn house without getting a wanted level. Not only that, but it seems the pedestrians are psychic too, as I will get shot at by gang members and attacked by homeless men if I go outside after the fires. Hell, sometimes I don't even have to go outside. The gang members and tough guy pedestrians run in there to shoot me for setting my own things on fire. Not to mention I'm somehow getting wanted stars for attack on a vehicle when a flaming bed or stool or fridge clearly is not a vehicle. Sometimes I get a wanted star for knocking out a pedestrian with NO ONE ELSE AROUND. What, did he call the cops while he was falling to the ground? Do the pedestrians have life alert or sensors installed in their body that call cops when they detect harm? Come on!

Also it's not a NYC simulator despite how close it is to NYC. It's still fictional. I mean you can turn up all the settings to make it bright and colouful, but it doesn't look right IMO. On my current save I have brightness and contrast all the up and saturation all the way down because I like the drawn out almost black and white look. Yeah, but there's never a happy part of the city or weather to balance it out. If there's no happiness to contrast with the sadness, then the sadness doesn't hold any emotional weight, so it comes off more boring than sad. It is not nearly that grey and brown on the ground. Not even in winter. First of all, NYC is pretty depressing in the late Autumn/Winter. It can be grey, rainy, etc. depending on the year. Second, this was most likely intentional by R*, the story itself is not "happy" or any of that crap like TBoGT. It's a very dark, somber storyline. Lastly, I sort of favor the dark and somber/depressing mood and look of IV, especially when it's cloudy or rainy or partially cloudy. It just looks so cool. The city itself looked better in that dark mood than it did in TBoGT. The city didn't look or feel right in TBoGT. I don't see why so many dislike the coldness of IV, it was superb if you're asking me. And I actually found some moments in this game bright and nice if you ask me. Truth is no protagonist in GTA could afford such principles, maybe Vic but no-one really took him seriously and he didn't spend as much time dwelling on his hard life.
