Oogie
http://www.chivalrythegame.com/ Recently bought this game because it was on sale on steam, and it turned out to be much better than i thought. The game is centered on melee fighting with different types of attacks / blocks. Be warned the game is still in development so there are a couple glitches / bugs here and there, but overall it's playable. The atmosphere is great, the sounds play a big part of it, the graphics are not too bad (imho), and while at first it seems like there is no technique to the gameplay, after a couple games you will realise there is. There's plenty more videos/screens if you want to learn more about the game, would be nice to play a couple games if anyone is in.

Potato Boggle
A meaty update came out for Chivalry today, here's some of the additions. CONTENT UPDATE ONE – RELEASEDMassive Content Update Arrives! You stand alone in middle of a frigid and blood-soaked battlefield, riddled with corpses so thick that the snow itself is painted red. In your hand lies a Flail, a weapon made for only one purpose. The destruction of all those who oppose you. As a veteran of battle you know the landscapes and arsenal well, but now you must conquer new regions and master unique weapons and tactics. For any man can kill another in the chaos of battle, but the glory of victory in single combat is unmatched. Will yours be a name remembered for all time? Or will you die, bested by another who has mastered the sword. This is Medieval Warfare, and this is a massive update: 13 New Maps Citadel Frigid Argon’s Wall And 10 new duel arenas 5 New Weapons Sling Quarterstaff Polehammer Flail Heavy Flail 2 New Game Modes Duel Mode (For intense 1v1 Action) Capture the Flag Alternate Swings Can now do left to right swings! Improved Server Browser and more… Blood Decals now paint to the ground when you hit an enemy Can now adjust how long Corpses stay on the battlefield Much Stronger Hack and Cheat Protection Music Jukebox in options menu for listening to full Chivalry soundtrack ingame Optimization Greatly Improved Spectator mode Balance adjustments Bug fixes General Polish Of course I would have a sh*t connection today that renders Chivalry unplayable in multliplayer The flail seems pretty bad ass from what I've used though. MWC
after getting this game i had a need to bump this thread, anybody else playing it, i got it last night and ended up playing all night its probably the most refreshing and mindlessly fun multiplayer experiences i had in a while im surprised this game isn't much more popular than it is
FullMetal
Friend and me play it as a mod. Both find it epic, me let down by how they've finished the mod (which was poorly and ran poorly) but concept was awesome. Both thinking it would be a great standalone game. Standalone gets announced; me super hyped and my good friend totally hating because they're asking money for it ("mods should stay mods hurr durr they should stay free"). My friend eventually buys and plays it... whilst I'm just sitting here contemplating on buying it.
Moth
whilst I'm just sitting here contemplating on buying it. Go buy it, it's a great game. I play it time to time, when I have some time to burn. I suck at duels though. Formerly known as The General
Doublepulse
I bought it during the holiday sales on steam. I think it is pretty fun. I was looking for a game that had multiplayer and a similar combat style to skyrim, and this was what I found
El Dildo
I've been playing Chivalry for a week. and it just happens to be one of the most fun multiplayer games I've ever had. especially if you don't join random games but play with people you know. SO MUCH fun. hilarious action. yelling bloody murder! chopping off heads! f*ck yeah the only problem with C:MW is that there's not enough diverse maps. most of them look/feel the same. it could also use more gametypes. otherwise it's awesome. Skyrim could've used more of that. seriously. combat in Skyrim is terrible. it puts me to sleep. if combat in TES:S was anything like combat in Chivalry, I would have played it much longer than I did. GrandMaster Smith
I would go buy this game in an instant if it didn't look like it requires a meaty GFX card. Is this something that would make my laptop's onboard explode into millions of pieces?
FullMetal
Aren't they using Unreal 3 engine for this? If so, Unreal 3 is really generous (kind of like STEAM imho) towards lower/weaker hardware. You can run it properly on pretty much any rig (by sacrificing certain graphical options obviously) . MWC
true i don't think its very hardware intensive if you slide the graphics down, you will need good FPS and ping dough because when you swing you control your weapons in real time its really skill based
