I'm talking about confirmed stuff like what type of activities they'll be doing in the game and their back stories. The hate seems crazy at this time though, because we've seen enough to have an opinion of what we like, but not what we dislike. I guess I understand if you hate drugs or drug addicts, so you would obviously dislike that aspect of Trevor. Anything else seems superficial. Here in America a drug addict living in a trailer with no form of hygiene would be considered White Trash by most White people though. I dont see whats wrong with that. You wont get a house like Micheals being on the Corner every day. You get a house like that by adapting finding other ways to get money besides being on the corner throwing gang signs. He wants to quit gang banging and make legit money unlike michael and trevor, he has a dog and he is young which means he can run faster and do high pace task like dirtbike racing (Im not saying old folks aren't active like that but it is not common.). But he's my favorite of them all, because I like what he does, his environment. Then I like Trevor, but dislike Michael because of his family and what he does. Whether there's racial intent or not I've seem far more derogatory insults on here thrown at Trevor than Franklin. Of course Michael isn't without them either. I say look at it like this alot of people on this forum based there generalization on cliche movie depictions. They have no understanding why people join gangs why they sell dope why they are the way they are. Jobs are scarse working at mcdonalds would barley pay a phonebill most cant afford college, most parents did there best to provide a better life but its hard when they were passed over for promotions for not being in the fraternity. I know I have heard in the past my mother get frustrated when coming because she had to train her boss . Its a trap and for some the only way to make it out is selling dope or playing sports or becoming some type of entertainer thats reality. We barely made it into middle class. I was fortunate. This was the first GTA game where the start was boring for me. All that low level gang crap, wearing colors and hoods and gang bullsh*t, it was just tedious for me. I couldn't wait to leave the hood. Some people liked it, some didn't, it's all personal preference, nothing to do with race. These days it seems that the white man has become the minority. It's OK to be racist against white people yet a single negative about a black man, then you're labeled as racist. My gf has black friends but she would never date a black man, why? What I was saying has nothing to do with whether or not you liked the game. I was just using it as an example of how many racist people are out there. People were much more vocal then, but there's still some people out there who just don't want to play as a black character. Some of GTA V's topics got completely derailed into racist stuff. Most were just racist jokes, but it shows that mentality is still present within these forums. I'm not talking about people who want black people to be erased off the face of the earth. I'm talking about people who see a color and make a judgement. And your girlfriend is at least somewhat racist if she'll never date a black man(which is never true btw) just because he's black. Capricornus Posted January 12, 2013 Share Posted January 12, 2013 Here's the top 3 reasons, from what I have see on these boards: -He's black (this is a subliminal reason that people really don't state) -We don't have as much info on him as we do the others. -He's a "whiny little bitch who complains too much" (Funny how people think they know a sh*t ton from a 2 minute trailer) I love all of the protagonists, and Franklin is my favorite, with Michael, whilst being awesome, is my least favorite.
