He wants to quit gang banging and make legit money unlike michael and trevor, he has a dog and he is young which means he can run faster and do high pace task like dirtbike racing (Im not saying old folks aren't active like that but it is not common.). gsbadreligion Posted January 11, 2013 Share Posted January 11, 2013 i think for a lot of people they see him as the cliche character that is seen countless times. i can't wait for franklin and i think people should appreciate him because i think he will offer alot of features because of his youth and his friend being in a gang. i can't really see trevor or michael street racing and he adds a much needed diversity. we can't just have 3 white guys imo. Happyness Posted January 11, 2013 Share Posted January 11, 2013 People think that Franklin will be the general "GANGBANGING MOTHAF**** WHO KILLS PEOPLE WITH COLD BLOOD 24/7", but actually you can notice he tries to stay away from gang life and whatnot, I personally liked Franklin, I like each character because they're special in their own way, but the least I liked is Michael. Besides outsiders seem to hate the gangbang lifestyle and anyone who looks like they might be a gangbanger. Tell you something right now though, not one person on this board would say anything to a supposed gangbanger's face in real life. Go walk through the hood in the middle of the night and see if you don't have a new outlook on life and newfound respect for the socalled 'gangbangers' you attempt to disrespect every time you jump on here. You'll probably have to let us know how you feel about the matter from your hospital bed and in your permanent vegetative state. The streets are real out there. Don't talk on the matter unless you've lived it or grew up around it. You'll learn respect in the streets real fast, something that seems to be nonexistent online. That said, I still think Franklin is going to be awesome (especially if we get to have Chop around whenever we want!). Just as Michael is essentially Tommy coming out of retirement, Franklin is a next gen CJ with a slight twist: "the gang-banger in a post-gang-banging world." This setting makes him more intriguing than CJ (or even Niko) since Franklin will actually be an ambitious hustler trying to make his place in this new world, as opposed to achieving more short-sighted goals like revenge. Franklin is gonna have all the best qualities of CJ, Niko, and Tommy rolled into one! @ArkaneKnight So people should like and respect gangbangers because they will put you in a hospital if you don't? Please tell me you're trolling as your reasoning is atrocious. Anyone who has lived in the hood (as I have), knows that gangbangers have absolutely no sense of respect for anyone but themselves. Or do you consider getting mugged and/or shot at in the street a show of respect? GTA is a game. Real life gangbangers, mafiosos, murderers, thieves, (politicians) are criminals that should be locked up like the animals they are. Don't confuse the reality with the romantic ideal. Even though he has a job and tries to distance himself from gang life. Nobody has mentioned how Michael is just like an older Tommy Vercetti that left the life of crime. But its not an interpretation... That's just how it is. That's how his character is written out on paper..... Rags to riches.... Wannabe thug..... I'm sure there's reasons to like him once we play the game, maybe benefits like Chop, but his story is that of the cliche GTA gangbanger. Hypocritical of you to label us as racists just because we want a more indepth storyline. But your reasons for liking him is only to play out the stereotype...... Just cause he's black doesn't mean he isnt more interested in yoga and golf and classical music. He might prefer hiking and the outdoors sports.
